Room for Improvement

Part 6

As I walked down the hallway of our dormitory, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and curiosity. Mina's "Best Room in the Dorm" contest had sparked a friendly competition among our classmates, and I was eager to see how everyone had decided to decorate their rooms. I had already seen my own room, and now I was on a mission to check out the others. My first stop was Deku's room, which was just a few doors down from mine. I knocked on the door, and when he called out "Come in!", I pushed it open and stepped inside. What I saw took my breath away. Deku's room was a shrine to All Might, with posters, figurines, and merchandise covering every available surface. I was amazed by the sheer amount of stuff he had collected. Deku, however, was not as thrilled to see me as I was to see his room. He turned bright red and started stuttering, "V-Vesper, I-I, uh, I just, you know, really like All Might, okay?" I couldn't help but laugh at his flustered expression. Just then, the door to Deku's room burst open and Mina and the other girls from our class walked in, giggling. "Whoa, Deku, we didn't know you were such a huge fan!" Mina exclaimed, her eyes scanning the room. "I mean, we've seen your hero costume, but this is on a whole different level!" The other girls started teasing Deku, playfully calling him "All Might's biggest fan" and " Deku-chan, the number one fan". Deku's face turned even redder as he tried to defend himself, "It's not like I'm obsessed or anything! I just really admire All Might, okay?" I chuckled to myself, enjoying the lighthearted moment. It was clear that Deku was a bit self-conscious about his love for All Might, but it was hard not to admire his dedication. As I looked around the room, I noticed that Deku had even set up a little display case with some of his favorite All Might collectibles. Mina, still grinning, patted Deku on the back. "Don't worry, Deku, we think it's cute. But you might want to tone it down a notch if you want to win the contest. I mean, it's not like you're going to get points for most creative use of All Might merchandise..." Deku looked crestfallen for a moment, but then his face brightened. "Wait, you think I could win? You think my room could be the best?" I smiled, feeling a sense of camaraderie with my classmates. "I think you've got a shot, Deku. But we'll have to see what the other rooms look like before we can make any judgments." With that, I bid Deku farewell, leaving him to his All Might-filled sanctuary. I had a feeling that this was going to be a tough contest, but I was excited to see what the other rooms had in store. Next stop: Todoroki's room. I wondered what his room would be like, given his calm and collected personality. And then there was Bakugo's room, which I had a feeling would be a complete contrast to Deku's. The contest was on, and I was eager to see who would come out on top.
