As the doctor held up the baby, Ashley couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions - relief, joy, and exhaustion. Avan, still lying on the bed, looked up at her with tears in his eyes, a wide smile spreading across his face. The nurse gently took the baby from the doctor and began to clean him up. Avan chuckled, his eyes shining with happiness. "He's perfect," he whispered, reaching out to gently touch the baby's soft hair. Ashley couldn't help but laugh through her tears. "He's so tiny," she repeated, her voice trembling with emotion. The doctor smiled, handing Avan a pair of scissors. "Would you like to cut the umbilical cord?" she asked. Avan nodded, his hands shaking slightly as he cut the cord. The nurse then handed Ashley the baby, and as she cradled him in her arms, Ashley felt a sense of completeness wash over her. She looked up at Avan, her eyes shining with tears. "We did it," she whispered, her voice barely audible. Avan smiled, his eyes filled with love and adoration. "We sure did," he replied, leaning in to kiss her forehead. As they gazed at their newborn son, Ashley felt a sense of wonder and awe. Avan asked, his voice full of excitement. Ashley smiled, her eyes still shining with tears. "I was thinking of Alexander," she said. Avan nodded, his face lighting up with a smile. "I love it," he said, leaning in to kiss Ashley's cheek. As they gazed at their newborn son, Ashley knew that their lives would never be the same.
