The car ride home was a blur for Ashley, her mind still reeling with thoughts of motherhood and all the responsibilities that came with it. Sarah drove, chatting occasionally with Kody, who was sleeping in his car seat, while Ashley sat in the passenger seat, her eyes fixed on the rearview mirror. "Just need to get used to being home, I think." Sarah nodded and stood up. "I'll leave you two alone for now," she said. "But don't hesitate to call me if you need anything.
