**A New Chapter Unfolds**

Part 35

Ashley's eyes locked onto Alev's, searching for his reaction to the news. She had expected him to be overjoyed, to be excited about the new life growing inside her. But as she looked into his eyes, she saw a mix of emotions - surprise, happiness, and concern. "Ashley, is everything okay?" Alev asked, his voice laced with worry. Ashley tried to speak, but her voice caught in her throat. She felt a lump form, and before she knew it, she was breaking down. The weight of everything came crashing down on her - the loss of Emma, the pain of the past few weeks, and the uncertainty of the future. Alev's face crumpled as he wrapped his arms around her. "Oh, baby, I'm so sorry," he whispered, holding her close. "I had no idea it would be so hard for you." Ashley sobbed uncontrollably, feeling like she was drowning in a sea of emotions. She had thought she was okay, that she was healing, but the news of her pregnancy had brought everything to the surface. She felt like she was reliving the pain of losing Emma all over again. As she cried, Alev held her tight, whispering words of comfort in her ear. He rocked her back and forth, trying to calm her down, but Ashley couldn't shake off the feeling of overwhelm. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Ashley's sobs began to subside. She took a deep breath, feeling exhausted and drained. Alev led her to the couch, where they sat down together. "I'm so sorry, Alev," Ashley said, her voice shaking. "I feel like I'm not supposed to be happy about this. I feel like I'm supposed to be grieving still." Alev took her hand in his. "You can feel both, Ashley. You can be happy about this new life, and still grieve for Emma. It's okay to feel conflicting emotions." Ashley looked at him, feeling a sense of understanding wash over her. She knew that Alev was right. She could feel both happiness and sadness, and it didn't mean that she was being disloyal to Emma. As they sat there in silence, Ashley felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that she still had a long way to go, but with Alev by her side, she felt like she could face anything. "I love you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I love you too," Alev replied, pulling her close. "We'll get through this together, okay?" Ashley nodded, feeling a sense of hope that she hadn't felt in weeks. She knew that it wouldn't be easy, but with Alev's love and support, she felt like she could face the future, no matter what it held.
