A New Beginning
Part 3
The sun shone brightly through the hospital window, casting a warm glow over Julie's face as she lay in bed, her eyes scanning the room with a newfound sense of awareness. The beeping of the machines had slowed, and the atmosphere in the room felt lighter, more optimistic. Yoongi, still holding her hand, smiled softly as he noticed her stirring. "Good morning, Julie," he said, his voice gentle. "How are you feeling today?" Julie tried to speak, but her voice was still hoarse from the previous day. She cleared her throat and tried again. "I'm...I'm feeling better," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. Yoongi's smile widened as he nodded. "That's great to hear. The doctor was here earlier, and your prognosis has improved significantly. You're on the road to recovery." Julie's eyes lit up with hope as she processed Yoongi's words. "Does that mean I can go home soon?" she asked, her voice filled with excitement. Yoongi nodded. "Yes, the doctor said you should be able to be released in another day or two. But you'll need some care for several weeks, especially with your arm." Julie glanced down at her arm, which was still wrapped in a bulky cast. She had almost forgotten about it. "Don't worry, I'll take care of you," Yoongi said, as if reading her mind. "You'll stay with me, and I'll make sure you get the rest and care you need." Julie's heart skipped a beat as she looked at Yoongi. She had never thought about staying with him, not like that. But as she looked into his eyes, she saw a deep concern and kindness that made her feel at ease. "Yoongi, I don't want to be a burden," she said, her voice hesitant. Yoongi's expression turned serious. "You're not a burden, Julie. You're...you're family. I want to take care of you." Julie's heart swelled with emotion as she looked at Yoongi. She knew that she could trust him, that he would take care of her and help her through this difficult time. As the doctor entered the room, Yoongi released her hand and stood up, giving her some space. The doctor began to explain the details of Julie's care, including the need to keep her arm in a mobile to prevent stiffness. Yoongi listened intently, asking questions and making sure he understood everything. Julie watched him, feeling a sense of gratitude and wonder. She had never seen this side of Yoongi before, this side that was so caring and gentle. She realized that she had underestimated him, that there was more to him than just his tough exterior. As the doctor left, Yoongi turned to Julie and smiled. "Don't worry, I've got this. I'll take care of you, and you'll be back on your feet in no time." Julie smiled back, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that she was in good hands with Yoongi.
