"A Moment of Peace"

Part 27

As I sat on the couch, wrapped in Erwin's arms, I couldn't help but think about the conversation I had to have with Captain Levi. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I couldn't just ignore him or pretend that everything was fine when it wasn't. I shifted slightly, and Erwin's grip on me tightened. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked, his voice low and concerned. I nodded, taking a deep breath. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just need to tell Captain Levi about us." Erwin's expression turned serious, but he nodded. "I know. You should be honest with him." I sighed, feeling a pang of guilt. I had been putting off this conversation for too long, and I knew I had to face Captain Levi eventually. But for now, I just wanted to enjoy this moment with Erwin. We were sitting in his living room, watching a movie on his TV. It was a romantic comedy, and I had to admit that I wasn't really paying attention to the plot. I was too busy being in Erwin's arms, feeling his warmth and his love. As the movie played on, I rested my head on his chest, feeling his heartbeat against my ear. It was a soothing sound, one that made me feel calm and at peace. Erwin wrapped his arms tighter around me, holding me close as we watched the movie. I could feel his eyes on me, but I was too content to look up at him. I just wanted to stay in this moment, with him by my side. The movie ended, and Erwin turned off the TV. We sat there in silence for a moment, just enjoying each other's company. "I'm glad we did this," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. Erwin smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Me too," he said, his voice filled with emotion. I looked up at him, and he met my gaze. We sat there for a moment, just looking at each other. "I'm happy, Kenzy," he said, his voice low and gentle. I smiled, feeling my heart swell with emotion. "Me too," I replied, my voice barely audible. We sat there for a few more moments, just enjoying each other's company. Then, Erwin spoke up. "You know, I was thinking," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief. I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What were you thinking?" He smiled, his lips curling up. "I was thinking that we could make this a regular thing. You know, movie nights and stuff." I laughed, feeling a surge of happiness. "I'd like that," I said, snuggling closer to him. As we sat there, wrapped in each other's arms, I knew that this was where I was meant to be. With Erwin, with the person I loved, and with the person who loved me back.
