**Chapter 1: Eternal Night**

Part 1

The sun had long since dipped below the horizon, casting a dark and foreboding shadow over the small town of Santa Carla. The streets were empty, save for a group of young men who roamed the night, their eyes gleaming with an otherworldly hunger. They were the Lost Boys, and they were eternal. Leading the group was Michael, his piercing blue eyes scanning the streets for their next victim. Beside him walked Star, his eyes gleaming with a fierce intensity as he whispered to the others in hushed tones. The group consisted of the usual suspects: Smiler, with his grotesque grin; Ziggy, with his wild mane of hair; and Nibs, with his... Well, Nibs was just Nibs. As they walked, they stumbled upon a small diner, its neon lights beckoning them like moths to a flame. Inside, they found their target: a beautiful young woman named Darling. She was a petite thing, with long, curly brown hair and piercing green eyes that seemed to sparkle in the dim light. Star's eyes locked onto Darling, and he felt a sudden pang of interest. He nudged Michael, who nodded curtly. "Go get her, Star," he whispered. Star hesitated, his eyes lingering on Darling as she laughed and chatted with the diner's patrons. There was something about her that didn't quite fit, something that made him pause. But Michael's eyes were insistent, and Star knew better than to disobey. With a reluctant sigh, Star slid into the booth beside Darling, his eyes locking onto hers as he smiled. "Mind if we join you?" he asked, his voice low and smooth. Darling looked up at him, her eyes flashing with a mixture of curiosity and wariness. "Uh, no... I don't think so," she stammered. As Star slid into the booth, the others followed, surrounding her like a pack of wolves. Darling's eyes widened in alarm as they introduced themselves, their names and faces blurring together in a whirlwind of chaos. Star watched her, his eyes searching for something. She was scared, but she didn't run. Instead, she sat there, her eyes fixed on his as she tried to make sense of the situation. And then, something strange happened. Star felt a pang of... Not exactly sympathy, but perhaps a glimmer of understanding. He leaned in close, his voice whispering in her ear. "Don't try to run, Darling. You'll never escape us." Darling's eyes flashed with fear, but Star just smiled, his fangs glinting in the dim light. And as he bit into her neck, she felt a strange sensation wash over her, like a wave of surrender. As the blood flowed, Darling's eyes glazed over, her body relaxing into Star's grasp. The others watched, mesmerized, as she transformed before their eyes. When Star finally pulled back, Darling's eyes were black as coal, her skin deathly pale. She looked up at Star, her eyes shining with adoration. "Master Star," she whispered, her voice husky and obedient. Star's eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Welcome to the family, Darling," he whispered. And as they left the diner, Darling nestled into Star's side, the others trailing behind them like a dark, twisted entourage. The night was young, and the Lost Boys were eternal.
