"A Moment of Vulnerability"

Part 243

As I composed myself, Osby stood up, and I followed suit, still feeling a bit shaky. He offered me his arm, and I accepted, grateful for the support. We walked towards the entrance of the dormitory, and as we stepped inside, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. I knew that the others would see me like this, and I wasn't sure if I was ready for their reactions. As we walked past the common room, I caught the attention of everyone inside. Kirishima, Kaminari, Deku, Shinso, and Todoroki all looked up from their activities, their faces filled with concern. They had seen me like this before, but it was clear that they were worried. However, none of them got up to approach me, and I was grateful for that. I didn't think I could handle a conversation right now. But one person stood out from the rest - Bakugo. His eyes locked onto mine, and for a moment, I saw a flash of guilt and regret. He looked like he wanted to get up and come to me, but he seemed to hesitate. I could sense that he felt horrible, and I wondered what was going through his mind. Osby noticed my gaze and followed it to Bakugo. He didn't say anything, but I could sense that he understood the situation. We continued walking, and Osby led me to the bathroom. Once we were inside, I quickly wiped my face with some water, trying to clean up the evidence of my tears. I put on a smile, a mask that I often wore to hide my true emotions. Osby watched me, his eyes filled with a deep understanding. He knew that I was putting on a facade, but he didn't say anything. He just nodded slightly, his expression soft. I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Osby. He had seen me at my weakest, and yet, he wasn't judging me. He was just being there for me, supporting me in his own way. "Thanks, Osby," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. He smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Anytime," he said. "Now, are you ready to face the others?" I nodded, feeling a sense of trepidation. I knew that it wouldn't be easy, but with Osby by my side, I felt a little more confident. I took another deep breath, and together, we walked out of the bathroom, ready to face whatever lay ahead.
