Tangled Web of Emotions
Part 4
The next day, I sat at lunch, still trying to process the events of the previous night. Elias sat next to me, his hand casually resting on my thigh, a possessive gesture that made me feel both comforted and uneasy. I tried to subtly shift my position, but Elias's grip only tightened, his fingers wrapping around my leg in a gentle but firm hold. As we chatted and laughed, Oliver Wood, the Quidditch captain, appeared at our table, a friendly smile on his face. "Mind if I join you?" he asked, his eyes scanning the group before settling on me. Elias's expression darkened, but he nodded curtly, his hand still grasping my thigh. Oliver sat down beside me, his proximity making me feel a little flustered. Elias's grip on my leg tightened, and I could sense his tension, his body language radiating a warning. Oliver, oblivious to the undercurrents, launched into a story about the Quidditch team's latest practice, but Elias's responses grew increasingly curt. The conversation started to take a heated turn, with Elias and Oliver exchanging barbed comments. I tried to intervene, but they talked over me, their voices rising. I placed a hand on Elias's arm, trying to calm him down. "Guys, stop. This isn't the place or the time." But before I could finish, Oliver's hand reached out, his fingers cupping my face. I felt a jolt of surprise as he pulled me towards him, his lips crashing down on mine in a fierce, passionate kiss. I was taken aback, my mind reeling as I struggled to respond. The kiss was intense, leaving me breathless and disoriented. Oliver pulled back, his chest heaving, and I could see the desire in his eyes. I felt a little stunned, unsure of how to react. Elias's face had turned white, his eyes blazing with anger. Seth, who had been sitting across from us, looked on with a mixture of surprise and discomfort, his eyes darting between Elias and Oliver. I could sense his unease, his feeling of being left out of the intense emotional exchange. As I sat there, trying to catch my breath, I realized that I had become a focal point in a silent battle between Elias and Oliver. And I wasn't sure if I was ready to be the prize in their game of emotions.
