"Chapter 1: The Legendary Bull"
Part 1
The sun beat down on the dusty rodeo school, casting a golden glow over the young riders as they gathered around their instructor, Jack Harris. Jack, a rugged man in his mid-40s with a thick beard and a wide-brimmed hat, stood tall, his eyes scanning the group as he explained the day's lesson plan. His son, two-year-old William, sat at his feet, babbling excitedly in broken English. "Marty ride big bull, Harry! Harry strong! Harry... Harry... ummm..." William's eyes widened as he looked up at Marty, who stood nervously beside him. Marty, a lanky 13-year-old with a messy mop of brown hair and a scattering of freckles across his nose, shifted his weight from one foot to the other. He eyed the massive bull, Harry, who paced restlessly in his pen, his horns gleaming in the sunlight. "Hey, Marty, you're gonna need a few aspirin after you ride Harry," Carlos, a 15-year-old with a mischievous grin and a messy blond pompadour, chimed in. "I heard he loves to buck and toss riders around like ragdolls." Jonathan, a tall, lanky 16-year-old with a mop of curly brown hair and a perpetual smirk, snorted in agreement. "Yeah, and don't even get me started on his horns. I've heard he likes to use them to... well, you know." Marty's eyes widened as he listened to the outlandish stories, his anxiety spiking. Jack Harris chuckled, shaking his head. "Boys, stop filling Marty's head with nonsense. Harry's a gentle giant. He just wants to do his job and get back to his pen." But Carlos and Jonathan just exchanged a knowing glance, their grins growing wider. William, however, seemed entirely convinced that Marty was some kind of superhero. "Marty... Marty... ummm... Super Bull Rider!" he exclaimed, his little face lighting up with excitement. Marty smiled, feeling a surge of confidence despite the doubts creeping into his mind. Jack Harris ruffled his hair, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Well, Marty, are you ready to ride Harry and show us what you're made of?" Marty nodded, taking a deep breath as he approached the bull pen. Harry eyed him warily, his ears twitching as Marty climbed onto his back. As Marty settled into the saddle, Jack Harris handed him a rope. "Okay, kiddo, just remember to hold on tight and—" But before he could finish, Carlos and Jonathan chimed in, their voices full of mock seriousness. "Yeah, and don't forget to watch out for those horns! And those teeth! And—" Marty tuned them out, focusing on the gentle giant beneath him. He patted Harry's neck, feeling a strange sense of calm wash over him. "Hey, Harry," he whispered, "I think we're gonna get along just fine." As Jack Harris gave the signal, Marty felt Harry surge to life beneath him, his massive muscles rippling as he prepared to buck. Marty's heart skipped a beat, but he held tight, ready to face whatever lay ahead. Little did he know, this was just the beginning of a wild ride.
