Midnight in Miami
Part 15
As the night wore on, Dorothy and Lucas lay in each other's arms, watching the stars twinkling above them through the bedroom window of the beach house. The sound of the waves gently lapping at the shore created a soothing melody that seemed to match the rhythm of their hearts. They had made love under the stars, and it had been the most incredible experience of her life. Dorothy felt like she was floating on air, her heart soaring with happiness. She looked over at Lucas, who was gazing at her with a tender expression. She smiled, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her. "I'm so glad I met you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Lucas smiled back, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm glad too," he said, his voice low and husky. "I feel like I've known you my whole life." Dorothy nodded, feeling a sense of connection with him that she had never felt with anyone before. It was as if they had a deep understanding of each other, a connection that went beyond words. As they lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, Dorothy felt a sense of peace wash over her. She had never felt this way before, like she was exactly where she was meant to be. Lucas's hand stroked her hair, his fingers gently tangling in the strands. "What are you thinking?" he asked, his voice soft and gentle. Dorothy smiled, feeling a sense of happiness that she had never felt before. "I'm thinking that I'm really happy," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Lucas smiled back, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "I'm happy too," he said, his voice low and husky. "I feel like I've found something special with you, Dorothy." Dorothy's heart skipped a beat as she looked into his eyes. She saw the sincerity there, the genuine emotion that he was feeling. And she knew that she felt the same way. As the night wore on, they talked and laughed, their conversation flowing easily. They talked about their hopes and dreams, their fears and insecurities. They talked about everything, and nothing. Finally, as the clock struck midnight, Lucas got up and pulled Dorothy into his arms. "Let's go outside," he said, his voice low and husky. "I want to show you something." Dorothy nodded, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. They walked outside, hand in hand, and stood on the beach, looking out at the ocean. The stars were shining brightly above them, and the waves were gently lapping at the shore. Lucas turned to her, his eyes sparkling with emotion. "I love you, Dorothy," he said, his voice low and husky. Dorothy's heart skipped a beat as she looked into his eyes. She saw the sincerity there, the genuine emotion that he was feeling. And she knew that she felt the same way. "I love you too," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Dorothy felt a sense of happiness and contentment wash over her. She knew that she had found someone special, someone who truly understood her. And she knew that she would never let him go. The clock struck midnight, and the stars shone brightly above them. It was a moment that Dorothy would never forget, a moment that would stay with her for the rest of her life. And as they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Dorothy knew that she was exactly where she was meant to be.
