**Chapter 1: A Moment of Vulnerability**
Part 1
The private bus wound its way through the crowded streets of New York, finally coming to a stop in front of a sleek, modern skyscraper. The AMP crew poured out of the bus, stretching their legs and gazing up at the penthouse apartment that would be their home for the next few days. Ray, still getting used to the bright lights and bustling energy of the city, clung to Kai's arm, his eyes wide with excitement. As they entered the penthouse, they were greeted by a friendly butler who showed them to their rooms. The group spent the next hour arguing over who would get which room, with Davis suggesting that he should get the biggest room since he helped start AMP. Chris agreed, but Kai quickly intervened, insisting that he didn't want Ray sleeping in a room with the others. "I don't want him being cranky because he couldn't sleep from your snoring," Kai said, his voice a little louder than usual. The others exchanged skeptical glances, but Kai remained firm. "He can sleep in my room," he said finally, raising an eyebrow at Ray. Ray's face lit up with a smile. "Really? Thank you, Kai!" he exclaimed, his Taiwanese accent thick and musical. The group continued to discuss the room assignments, but Kai quickly changed the subject, reminding them that they had a meeting to discuss their upcoming content. Ray was invited to join, and he followed the group to the living room, his eyes shining with excitement. Two days passed, and Kai flew out to Miami to do a gaming stream with Darren. When he returned to the penthouse, he was shocked to see Ray's battered face. Davis, Agent, and Duke were standing nearby, looking guilty. "Kai, calm down, it was an accident," Agent pleaded, but Kai was beyond reason. "What the actual fuck happened?" he demanded, his voice rising. Davis took a step forward, his eyes downcast. "We were playing basketball, and I was guarding Ray. I accidentally pushed him. I didn't mean to." Kai's anger boiled over, and he slapped Davis across the face. The butler appeared in the doorway, holding a bag of medical supplies. "I've got the stuff you guys asked for," he said, his eyes widening at the scene before him. Kai grabbed the supplies and sprinted up the stairs, leaving the others to breathe a sigh of relief. He found Ray sitting on his bed, gently kicking his feet back and forth. "Are you okay? Are you sore anywhere?" Kai asked, his voice softening. Ray nodded, and Kai began to clean his wounds, his touch gentle and soothing. As he worked, he explained that he didn't want Ray to get hurt, that he cared for him deeply. Ray looked up at Kai, his eyes shining with understanding. "I know, Kai. But it was an accident. Davis didn't mean to." Kai didn't respond, his focus on cleaning Ray's wounds. But as he worked, his expression softened, and he kissed Ray's forehead, a gesture that sent shivers down Ray's spine. The tension between them was palpable, and Ray couldn't help but feel a flutter in his chest. He had feelings for Kai, but he wasn't sure if Kai felt the same way. As Kai continued to care for him, Ray realized that he was in a vulnerable position. He was hurt, both physically and emotionally, and Kai was taking care of him. But what did Kai want from him? And what would happen next?
