The Accident

Part 1

The air was thick with tension as Hunter, a skilled witch hunter, accompanied the Golden Guard on a mission to capture a group of rogue witches. They had been tracking their targets through the dense forest for hours, the Golden Guard's menacing presence striking fear into the hearts of any who crossed their path. As they closed in on their prey, a sudden burst of magical energy erupted from the witches, sending Hunter and the Golden Guard flying. Hunter's world went dark, his body crashing to the ground. When he came to, he was disoriented and confused, his memories hazy and unclear. He looked around, taking in his unfamiliar surroundings. He was lying in a field, surrounded by towering buildings and strange, noisy contraptions that belched smoke and fire. A quick scan of his surroundings revealed no signs of the Golden Guard or the witches they had been tracking. Panic set in as Hunter scrambled to his feet, his mind racing with questions. Where was he? What had happened? He stumbled forward, trying to make sense of his surroundings, but everything seemed foreign and overwhelming. He had no memory of who he was, where he came from, or what his purpose was. As he staggered through the unfamiliar streets, Hunter's thoughts were a jumbled mess. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was missing something important, something that was just out of reach. He tried to recall his name, his family, his friends, but his memories seemed to stop just short of his current location. Eventually, Hunter's exhaustion caught up with him, and he collapsed onto a bench, overwhelmed by the unfamiliar sights and sounds. He sat there, trying to gather his thoughts, but his mind was a complete blank. It was then that a kind-faced woman approached him, concern etched on her features. "Hey, kiddo, are you okay? You look lost." Hunter hesitated, unsure of how to respond. He had no idea who he was or where he came from. "I...I don't know," he admitted, feeling a wave of panic wash over him. The woman's expression softened. "It's okay, we'll get you sorted out. My name is Camila, and this is my husband, Manny." She gestured to a man with a warm smile, who was standing beside her. Hunter's eyes met theirs, and for a moment, he felt a sense of comfort and security. He had no memories, no identity, but with Camila and Manny's help, he might just find a way to rebuild his life. As they took him in, Hunter began to adjust to his new life in the human world. He had no idea that he was a witch hunter, that he had been tasked with capturing witches in the Boiling Isles, or that he had a sister who was about to embark on a journey that would change her life forever. All he knew was that he was Hunter, and he was starting from scratch.
