**Opening Up to the Princesses**
Part 7
With the discussion about Caleb's potential relationships with the princesses momentarily settled, Ariel suggested that it was time for them to get to know him better. "So, Caleb, now that we've talked about the elephant in the room, what do you think we should talk about next?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. Caleb thought for a moment before responding. "I think it would be good for me to share a bit more about myself with all of you. What else would you like to know about me?" he asked, looking around the room at the princesses. Snow White spoke up first. "I think it would be nice to know about your family and friends. Do you have any siblings or pets?" Caleb smiled, happy to share more about himself. "I have two pet dogs named Valkyrie and Stryker. They're both rescues, and they're my babies. I also have a close-knit family, but they're not here right now. I do have a few close friends back home, but I don't really have any siblings." Tiana's eyes lit up with interest. "I love dogs! What are Valkyrie and Stryker like?" Caleb laughed. "They're a handful, but I love them to death. Valkyrie is a big, goofy golden retriever, and Stryker is a little ball of energy, a terrier mix. They're always getting into trouble, but they're my little buddies." As the conversation continued, Caleb began to open up more about himself. Belle asked him about his interests and hobbies, and Caleb shared his love of reading, hiking, and playing video games. But as the princesses asked him more questions, Caleb realized that he needed to share some more important things about himself. He took a deep breath before speaking up. "I also want to be upfront with all of you about some things that might affect our relationships. I have anxiety, which can sometimes make me a bit withdrawn or overwhelmed. I also have OCD, which can make me a bit of a perfectionist, and ADHD, which can make it hard for me to focus sometimes." The princesses listened attentively, their faces filled with understanding and compassion. Pocahontas nodded thoughtfully. "I think it's great that you're being so open with us, Caleb. It's not always easy to share those kinds of things with people." Caleb smiled, feeling a sense of relief. "I want to be honest with all of you, because I think it's only fair. And there's one more thing I need to share with you. I have type one diabetes." Elsa's eyes widened slightly. "I'm familiar with that. My sister Anna has a friend who has type one diabetes. Is it...is it something that affects your daily life much?" Caleb nodded. "Yeah, it does. I have to check my blood sugar levels regularly, and I have to take insulin injections to manage my condition. But I've had it for a long time, so I'm pretty used to it by now. I just need to make sure that I'm taking care of myself, and that I have the support of the people around me." The princesses all nodded, their faces filled with understanding and support. Merida spoke up, her voice warm. "We're here for you, Caleb. We'll support you no matter what." Caleb felt a surge of gratitude towards the princesses. He was glad that he had been able to be so open with them, and he was excited to see where things might go from here.
