Stubborn Days
Part 19
The sun was shining brightly, casting a warm glow over the city as Taehyun woke up with a scowl on his face. He stretched his arms and yawned, feeling a bit grumpy for no particular reason. Beomgyu was already up and about, making breakfast in the kitchen, but Taehyun wasn't in the mood to talk. He got out of bed and began to get ready for the day, his movements stiff and deliberate. Beomgyu noticed his mood and tried to approach him, but Taehyun brushed him off. "I'm fine," he muttered, not looking up. Beomgyu raised an eyebrow but said nothing. He knew that Taehyun was being stubborn, and he also knew that trying to argue with him when he was in this mood would only make things worse. Instead, he simply nodded and handed Taehyun a bowl of steaming hot porridge. Taehyun took the bowl from him, his eyes fixed on the food. He didn't say thank you or make any attempt to engage in conversation. Beomgyu sighed inwardly, wondering what had triggered Taehyun's stubbornness. He had been in a good mood the day before, and everything seemed fine between them. As they ate breakfast in silence, Taehyun's grumpiness only seemed to grow. He responded to Beomgyu's questions with monosyllabic answers, his eyes fixed on his phone. Beomgyu tried to make small talk, but Taehyun wasn't having it. After breakfast, Beomgyu suggested that they go for a walk, hoping that some fresh air would improve Taehyun's mood. But Taehyun refused, crossing his arms over his chest and glaring at Beomgyu. "I don't want to," he said, his voice firm. Beomgyu raised an eyebrow, taken aback by Taehyun's tone. "Okay," he said calmly. "But can I ask why you're being so stubborn today?" Taehyun's expression didn't change. "I'm not being stubborn," he lied. Beomgyu sighed, knowing that he wasn't going to get anything out of Taehyun when he was like this. He decided to give him some space, hoping that Taehyun would eventually come around. As the day wore on, Taehyun's stubbornness only seemed to grow. He refused to compromise on anything, his responses growing shorter and more curt. Beomgyu tried to be patient, but it was clear that Taehyun was pushing him to his limits. As the sun began to set, Beomgyu realized that he needed to take a different approach. He couldn't just sit back and let Taehyun's stubbornness ruin their day. He needed to find a way to reach out to him, to get through to him. But as he looked at Taehyun, he wasn't sure where to start. Taehyun's face was set in a stubborn expression, his eyes flashing with defiance. Beomgyu knew that he was in for a long night.
