The Arrival
Part 92
"I feel the head," Ashley cried out, her voice trembling with a mix of fear and excitement. Avan's grip on her hand tightened as he looked at the nurse, who was quickly checking Ashley's progress. The nurse's face lit up with a warm smile. "I think you're right, Ashley," she said, her voice calm and reassuring. "The baby's head is crowning." Avan's eyes locked onto Ashley's, filled with concern and love. "You're doing great," he whispered, trying to keep his voice steady. Ashley's face contorted in pain as she pushed again. The nurse gently guided her, coaching her through the process. "One more push, Ashley," she said. Ashley took a deep breath and pushed with all her might. Suddenly, she felt a gush of fluid and a warm sensation between her legs. The nurse exclaimed, "It's a girl!" As the nurse confirmed Ashley's concern, blood gushed out, and Avan's eyes widened in shock. But the nurse just smiled and said, "That's normal, Avan. She's doing great." The doctor rushed over to examine Ashley and the baby. After a few moments, she looked up with a smile and said, "You have a beautiful baby girl, Ashley. Congratulations!" Avan's face lit up with joy as he looked at Ashley, who was now smiling weakly. He leaned over and kissed her forehead. "You did it," he whispered. "You're a mom." The nurse gently placed the baby on Ashley's chest, and Ashley gazed lovingly at her daughter. Avan couldn't take his eyes off the little girl, who was now lying on her mother's chest, swaddled in a soft blanket. As they gazed at their daughter, Ashley and Avan both felt a sense of wonder and awe. They had waited for this moment for so long, and now that it was finally here, they were overwhelmed with emotion. The doctor and nurse busied themselves with the afterbirth and stitches, but Avan and Ashley were too caught up in their little girl to notice. They were too busy staring at her tiny face, her small nose, and her delicate features. Ashley reached out a hand and gently touched her daughter's cheek. "She's beautiful," she whispered. Avan nodded, his eyes shining with tears. "She's perfect," he said. "Just like you." As they gazed at their daughter, they both knew that their lives would never be the same again. They had a new little miracle to love and care for, and they were ready to take on the challenge.
