**Cracks in the Facade**
Part 5
The group's conversation had been tense, but it was about to get a lot more complicated. As they made their way back to the bunk room, Myung-gi was still stuck beside Young-il, his arm aching from the older man's firm grip. Daeho, one of the players, broke the silence, his voice calm and inquiring. "Did you guys break up on bad terms?" Junhee's expression turned sour, and she snapped, "He scammed me. Does it sound like we broke up on good terms?" The others were shocked, and they exchanged uneasy glances. Junhee never acted like this, and Myung-gi couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. Jungbae, who had been quiet until now, paused before speaking. "I'm sure he didn't know it was a scam." He looked at Myung-gi, as if asking him to confirm. Myung-gi was grateful for Jungbae's intervention, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that Young-il's presence was influencing the man's words. Young-il, who usually seemed to hate Jungbae, didn't react negatively, probably because he needed Myung-gi on their team. Myung-gi took a deep breath and replied, "I didn't know it was a scam. I was also scammed, that's why I am here." Gihun nodded thoughtfully. "I don't see why he can't join our group. If he does anything, we can kick him out, but for now, he can stay." Junhee sighed and turned away, sitting down on one of the bunks. The granny and her son followed, sitting down on a nearby bunk. Gihun turned to speak with Jungbae, Daeho, and player 120, and as their attention was diverted from Myung-gi, Young-il dragged him off to the side a bit. "If I let go of your arm, will you stay?" Young-il asked, his voice firm and commanding. Myung-gi glared at the man. "You expect me to stay, when you dragged me over and forced me to stay in your group after I told you no?" Myung-gi angrily spoke, trying to shake off Young-il's grip. Young-il sighed, but instead of letting go, he grabbed Myung-gi's wrist and dragged him back to the group, never once releasing his hold. The silence between them was oppressive, and Myung-gi couldn't help but wonder what Young-il's true intentions were. As they rejoined the group, Myung-gi caught Junhee's eye, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. The tension between them was palpable, and Myung-gi knew that this was just the beginning of a complicated and potentially deadly game.
