Reunion at Kou's House

Nene steered her bike into Kou's driveway, spotting Mitsuba's bike already parked by the side of the house. She placed her own bike right next to it and walked towards the entrance, a warm smile spreading across her face as she heard the chatter and laughter coming from inside. As she stepped into the house, she was immediately enveloped in a lively atmosphere. The room was filled with her friends, all chatting and laughing together. Akane and Aoi were sitting on the couch, engaged in a heated game of cards, while Yugi was leaning against the kitchen counter, sipping on a drink. Kou was busy in the kitchen, expertly juggling multiple conversations while simultaneously trying to get the food order right. Nene's eyes scanned the room, taking in the familiar faces and the warm atmosphere. She walked into the midst of it all, exchanging smiles and greetings with her friends. As she made her way through the crowd, Amane suddenly appeared beside her, a mischievous glint in his eye. “You were asleep, weren't you?” he asked, his voice low and teasing. “When we were pinging you. You haven’t slept in late for a long time.” He held out two red cups, a sly smile on his face. “Here, it’s Dr Pepper. I got some before everyone took it all, since I knew you’d probably want some.” Nene's cheeks flushed brightly as she took the cup from him, her heart skipping a beat. She couldn't help but remember the dream she had just woken up from, the one where she was with Amane and his brother, and her crush on him seemed to intensify in that moment. She took a sip of the Dr Pepper, trying to play it cool, but her eyes betrayed her, darting up to meet Amane's gaze. For a moment, they just looked at each other, the noise of the party fading into the background. "Thanks," Nene said finally, her voice barely above a whisper. Amane's smile softened, and he leaned in close, his voice taking on a conspiratorial tone. "I knew you'd be a fan of Dr Pepper." The moment was interrupted by Kou's booming voice, calling out that the food had arrived. The room erupted into cheers and applause as everyone began to gather around the table. Nene took another sip of her Dr Pepper, her eyes never leaving Amane's face, her heart racing with a mix of excitement and nervousness. She had a feeling that today was going to be a very interesting day.
