"A Month of Change"
Part 3
It's been a month since the nekos had been living with Suzuya, and things had been going great. They had started to grow, and although they weren't as tall as Suzuya was currently, they were definitely climbing in height. For the first time, Suzuya was taking the nekos outside, and they were excited to explore the world beyond his apartment. They were still wearing his clothes, which were a bit too big for them, but they seemed to enjoy wearing them. As they walked down the street, Suzuya couldn't help but laugh at the nekos' antics. They were still getting used to being outside, and they would often stop and stare at things that caught their attention. Nakarai, however, was getting a bit frustrated. He was sick of just eating chicken and pudding, and he was starting to crave something more. Suzuya's inability to cook was starting to aggravate him, and he would often grumble about it under his breath. As they walked, people would occasionally stop them to ogle the four cute nekos. Tamaki loved the attention, and he would often pose and pout for the people who stopped to admire him. Hanbee was shy about it, and he would often hide behind Suzuya or Mikage. Mikage was too stuck in his own thoughts to care, and he would just walk along, ignoring the attention. Nakarai, on the other hand, hated it. It brought him back to the people who would run up to them, trying to pet them when they were living on the streets. He would often scowl at the people who stopped them, and Suzuya would have to intervene to prevent him from getting too upset. After a while, Suzuya decided it was time to take the nekos shopping. They went to a few different stores, picking out clothes and other things they needed. Nakarai took charge of getting actual food, and he was determined to find something that Suzuya could cook. Suzuya was grateful for Nakarai's help, and he let him take the lead. When they arrived back home, Nakarai got to work in the kitchen. Suzuya was amazed at the nekos' skill as Nakarai whipped up a delicious dinner. Suzuya was so impressed that he petted Nakarai, making the blonde blush. The nekos all sat down to eat, and Suzuya was grateful for the meal. As they finished up dinner, Suzuya headed to bed, feeling content and happy. The next morning, Hanbee made breakfast before Suzuya had to leave for work. Suzuya was touched by the nekos' thoughtfulness, and he thanked Hanbee for the meal. As Suzuya was getting ready to leave for work, he was talking with Haise about his kittys. Big Madam walked in, and she was surprisingly excited. She pulled Suzuya aside, telling him that there was going to be a big camera crew coming just for him. Suzuya didn't feel happy, and he wondered what was going on. Meanwhile, back at the apartment, the nekos were waiting for Suzuya to come back home. They were all sitting in the living room, waiting for him, when Nakarai yelled at Tamaki and hit him. Tamaki cried and ran into the room, cuddling and sniffing Suzuya's pillow, missing him. Hanbee walked into console him, and Nakarai said nothing, even though he felt a little bad. Instead, he just decided to start making dinner, so Suzuya would have something to eat when he finally came home. As the day went on, Suzuya was stuck in meetings and interviews, trying to figure out what was going on with the camera crew. He was not looking forward to it, and he couldn't wait to get back home to the nekos. Little did he know, the nekos were waiting for him, and they would do anything to protect him from the chaos that was about to ensue.
