**The Unthinkable Happens**
Part 6
The planets continued to recover and rebuild, their unity and determination a beacon of hope in the dark expanse of space. Earth, still tender from her own ordeal, had been chatting with Venus, exchanging stories of their respective healing processes. Venus, once again radiant in her vibrant blues and greens, had been laughing and joking with Earth, oblivious to the terror that was about to unfold. Meanwhile, Nemesis had been quietly approaching, its malevolent presence masked by the vast distances between the stars. Its trajectory had been altered, and it was now on a collision course with the unsuspecting Venus. As Nemesis drew closer, Venus's expression changed from joy to horror. She saw the asteroid's menacing form looming large in her vision, and her screams echoed through the solar system. "Earth, duck! Get out of the way!" she cried, but her warning came too late. Nemesis crashed into Venus with a deafening impact, sending shockwaves throughout the solar system. The asteroid's massive body ripped through Venus's atmosphere, causing her surface to erupt into flames and smoke. The once-vibrant blues and greens of her atmosphere gave way to a smoky gray and fire-like orange, as if the very fabric of her being was being torn apart. The impact was witnessed by all the planets, and they were left stunned and speechless. Earth, still in shock from the news, felt her own body react to the trauma, and she fell unconscious, her systems overwhelmed by the sheer horror of what had happened. The other planets were equally shocked, their usually serene faces now etched with despair. Sol and Mercury stared in stunned silence, their eyes fixed on the smoldering remains of Venus. Luna's heart shattered, and tears stung her eyes as she gazed upon the destruction. Venus and Mars stared with their mouths dropped, their faces frozen in astonished looks. Saturn started to cry, her rings trembling with sorrow, while Jupiter wrapped her in a hug, her own eyes tearing up. Uranus and Neptune's hearts dropped, their icy surfaces now reflecting the cold, hard reality of the situation. The solar system was plunged into mourning, as if a member of their own family had been torn from them. The unity and determination that had characterized their response to the previous attack now gave way to despair and grief. The unthinkable had happened, and nothing would ever be the same again.
