**Chapter 1: Fractured Harmony**

Part 1

The sun had just set over the small college town, casting a warm orange glow over the cozy house on the outskirts of campus. Noa, Sara, Hanabi, Yui, and Aria were all gathered in the living room, surrounded by the chaos of their daily lives. The air was thick with the smell of cooking dinner and the sound of children's laughter. Their kids, Karin, Mitsuki, Yuki, Susuki, Aya, Satsuki, and Rin, were all sprawled out on the floor, playing with toys and completely carefree. The women, all in their early twenties, were in a polygamous relationship, one that had been accepted and even encouraged by their school's progressive program. They had all met in their freshman year and had quickly formed a tight-knit group, which eventually evolved into a romantic partnership. Aria, with her striking features and athletic build, was pacing back and forth across the room, her eyes flashing with anger. Hanabi, petite and delicate, was sitting on the couch, trying to calm her down. "Aria, please, just take a deep breath," Hanabi said, her voice trembling. But Aria was beyond reason. She stopped pacing and turned to Hanabi, her eyes blazing. "You think you can just talk to me like that? You think you can calm me down?" Aria's voice was low and menacing. Hanabi flinched, and Yui, who was sitting next to her, immediately jumped up to defend her. "Aria, stop it! You're scaring Hanabi!" Yui's voice was firm, but Aria just turned to her, her expression unyielding. Sara, who had been quietly observing the scene from across the room, finally intervened. "Aria, please. You're upsetting the kids." Her voice was gentle, but laced with a hint of warning. Aria's gaze flicked to Sara, and for a moment, it seemed like she might actually listen. But then her eyes hardened, and she turned back to Hanabi. "You should be more careful, Hanabi. You know I don't like it when you disobey me." Noa, who had been sitting quietly on the armchair, watching the scene unfold, finally spoke up. "Aria, maybe you should calm down now." But Aria just ignored her, her attention still fixed on Hanabi. Sara's eyes darted to Noa, and for a moment, they locked gazes. Sara's expression was pleading, but Noa just shrugged, her eyes never leaving Aria's face. The tension in the room was palpable, and Yui's eyes were welling up with tears. She hated seeing Aria like this, and she hated even more that Noa was just sitting there, doing nothing to stop her. As the standoff continued, the kids began to get restless, sensing the unease in the air. Karin, the eldest, got up and tried to intervene, but Aria just brushed her off. "Go play, sweetie. Mommy's just having a grown-up conversation." The room was on the verge of erupting into chaos, and it seemed like only a matter of time before things escalated further. But for now, the fragile harmony of their household was fractured, and it was unclear if it could ever be put back together again.
