**Chapter 1: Introduction to the Poly**

Part 1

The sun had just set over the rolling hills of Alessandro's estate, casting a warm orange glow over the gathering of four individuals. They stood in the grand living room, surrounded by lavish decorations and the soft hum of conversation. Alessandro, a tall and imposing figure with piercing green eyes, stood confidently, his presence commanding attention. Beside him stood Ryder, a charming and carefree individual with a mischievous grin, and Elijah, a soft-spoken and gentle soul with a warm smile. The fourth member of their group, Kael, stood across from them, his eyes fixed on the floor, his demeanor dark and foreboding. He was a complex individual, with a troubled past and a penchant for toxic behavior. Despite this, Alessandro had taken him under his wing, providing a sense of stability and control that Kael desperately needed. As they stood there, the air was thick with unspoken tension. Ryder, ever the jokester, attempted to break the silence, "So, guys, what's for dinner?" His words fell flat, and the group remained quiet, each lost in their own thoughts. Alessandro cleared his throat, his voice deep and authoritative, "I think it's time we had a talk." He gestured to the couch, inviting the group to sit. They complied, with Ryder and Elijah settling in, while Kael remained standing, his eyes fixed on the floor. The conversation that followed was stilted, with Kael's behavior growing increasingly agitated. Elijah, ever the peacekeeper, attempted to mediate, but Kael's words were laced with venom, and the atmosphere in the room grew increasingly toxic. As the night wore on, Alessandro's patience began to wear thin. He rose from his seat, his eyes locked on Kael, "I think it's time we discussed boundaries and respect." His voice was firm, but controlled, a subtle warning that Kael would do well to heed. The group fell silent, the tension between them palpable. Ryder shifted uncomfortably, while Elijah watched Kael, concern etched on his face. Kael, however, seemed to bristle at Alessandro's words, his eyes flashing with anger. The air was thick with anticipation, as the group waited to see how Kael would react. Would he lash out, or would he take a step back, allowing the others to breathe? Only time would tell, but one thing was certain, the dynamics of their little group were about to change forever.
