Chapter 1: Bound by Deception

Part 1

The sun was setting over the vast desert landscape, casting a warm orange glow over the sandy dunes. Viper, a notorious assassin, lay sprawled across Sage's back, her arms and legs wrapped tightly around the older woman. Sage, a skilled warrior and Viper's longtime acquaintance, stood frozen, her eyes fixed on the horizon as she tried to process the sudden turn of events. Viper had always been a wild card, unpredictable and prone to violent outbursts. Sage had known her for years, but even she couldn't claim to fully understand the younger woman's motivations. It was a delicate balance they maintained, one that often left Sage questioning her own judgment. As the stars began to twinkle in the night sky, Viper's grip on Sage's back relaxed, and she shifted her weight, her body language eerily calm. Sage felt a shiver run down her spine as Viper's breath danced across her neck, sending a wave of unease through her. "Viper, what's going on?" Sage asked, her voice firm but laced with a hint of caution. Viper's response was a low, husky laugh that sent shivers down Sage's spine. "You should have been more careful, Sage," Viper whispered, her voice dripping with malice. "You should have watched your back." Sage's mind racing, she tried to think back to their last encounter, wondering if she had somehow offended Viper or inadvertently threatened her. But before she could process her thoughts, Viper's body tensed, and Sage felt a searing pain as Viper plunged a small dagger into her side. Stunned, Sage tried to struggle, but Viper's grip was unyielding. The younger woman's body seemed to be everywhere, pinning Sage in place as she moved with a calculated slowness. Sage's vision began to blur, and her thoughts grew foggy, but she was aware of Viper's hot breath on her skin, and the sound of her own ragged gasps. As the world around her began to spin, Sage realized with a jolt of horror that she was completely at Viper's mercy. The younger woman's intentions were clear, and Sage knew she was in grave danger. With a surge of adrenaline, Sage tried to summon the strength to fight back, but her body seemed to be failing her. Viper's movements grew more deliberate, her actions swift and ruthless. Sage's cries were muffled by the desert wind as Viper overpowered her, rendering her immobile and helpless. The night sky twinkled above, a cruel contrast to the darkness that had descended upon Sage. As the assault continued, Sage's thoughts grew disjointed, her mind reeling with fear and pain. She was trapped, unable to escape, and at the mercy of a woman who seemed to take pleasure in her suffering. The stars above seemed to mock her, their silence a stark reminder of her isolation and vulnerability. Sage's world narrowed to a single, terrifying thought: survival. Would she make it through this ordeal, or would Viper's cruelty prove to be her undoing? Only time would tell.
