Chapter 2: New Beginnings

Part 2

As I gazed lovingly at my triplets, Hanji continued to monitor my vital signs, ensuring that I was stable and recovering well from the delivery. The medical team was amazed by the fact that I had given birth to three healthy babies, and they were eager to run various tests to ensure that we were all doing well. As we spent the first few days in the hospital, Hanji was my rock, supporting me through the challenging process of caring for newborn triplets. She fed them, bathed them, and changed their diapers, all while keeping a watchful eye on my health. I was grateful for her presence, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at the little family we were building. But as much as we wanted to bask in the joy of new motherhood, we knew that we couldn't stay in the hospital forever. The Survey Corps were waiting for us, and we had a duty to report back to them. Hanji began to make arrangements for us to return to our duties, but she was also adamant that we would do it on our own terms. "We'll do it when the babies are ready," she said firmly. "We won't rush them, and we won't put them in harm's way. We'll make sure they're safe and healthy before we head back out." I nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Hanji was right; we had to prioritize the needs of our babies. As we prepared to leave the hospital, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. What would the future hold for us? Would we be able to balance our duties as members of the Survey Corps with our new roles as parents? As we made our way back to our home, I couldn't help but notice the curious glances from the people we passed on the street. They would stare at Hanji, and then at me, and I could sense the whispers and speculation. But Hanji didn't seem to notice. She was too busy smiling at our babies, and cooing over their tiny features. She was radiant with happiness, and I couldn't help but feel grateful to be her partner in life. As we arrived at our home, Hanji began to unpack and settle us in. She showed me the nursery she had set up for the babies, and I was amazed by the attention to detail she had put into every aspect of it. "It's perfect," I said, feeling a sense of tears well up in my eyes. Hanji smiled and wrapped her arms around me. "I'm glad you like it," she said. "I wanted to create a special place for our babies to grow and thrive." As we spent the evening getting to know our babies and settling into our new routine, I couldn't help but feel a sense of peace and contentment. We had a long road ahead of us, but with Hanji by my side, I knew that we could face anything. But little did we know, our peaceful existence was about to be disrupted by a sudden and unexpected threat. The Titans, it seemed, were not done with us yet.
