**Closure**
Part 5
The café's warm glow spilled out onto the sidewalk, casting a golden light on the bustling street. Kim and Dante had just finished dinner, and as they walked back to their car, they were approached by a group of familiar faces - her former friends from the Power Rangers, including Trini, Billy, Zack, and Jason. They looked older, but their smug expressions hadn't changed. "Well, well, well, look what we have here," Jason said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "The Pink Ranger, all grown up and married to... a demon." Kim smiled calmly, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Dante, this is my old team. We haven't seen each other in a while." She turned to her former friends, her voice firm but polite. "It's been a long time, guys. How have you all been?" They started teasing her about her letter to Tommy, implying that she was still bitter and hurt from being abandoned. But Kim was not the same insecure teenager she once was. She stood tall, her shoulders back, and her head held high. "I've moved on, guys," she said, her voice firm. "I'm happy, and I don't need your validation. Dante, show them what we've been up to." Dante stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with a hint of menace. "We've been busy," he said, his voice low and smooth. "Hunting demons, saving the world. You know, the usual." Her former friends exchanged uneasy glances, and their smiles faltered. They seemed to shrink away, their postures deflating as they realized that Kim was no longer the girl they used to know. Kim followed them, curiosity getting the better of her. She tailed them to a trendy café, where they sipped coffee and gossiped about their lives. Kim observed from afar, listening to their insults and catty remarks about her. "I'm so glad we got rid of her," Trini said, rolling her eyes. "She was always so dramatic and attention-seeking." Kim felt a pang of recognition. They were still stuck in their old dynamics, and she had long surpassed them. She thought about her life with Dante, about the adventures they had shared, the battles they had fought, and the laughter they had exchanged. As she watched, Kim noticed that her former friends seemed shallow and petty, still obsessed with their past glories as Power Rangers. She felt grateful to have left that world behind and to have found a new sense of purpose with Devil May Cry. With a newfound sense of confidence, Kim decided to make her presence known. She walked into the café, her head held high, and sat down at their table. "Hey, guys," she said, her voice calm and confident. "Mind if I join you?" Her former friends were shocked, their faces pale and awkward. They tried to apologize or make excuses for their past behavior, but Kim listened calmly, her expression serene. "I don't need your apologies," she said, her voice firm. "I'm happy and fulfilled, and I've moved on from your petty dramas. I wish you all the best, but I don't need to be a part of your lives anymore." With a confident smile, Kim stood up and walked away, leaving her former friends looking stunned and regretful. As she walked out of the café, she felt a sense of closure. She had faced her past, and she had come out on top. Dante was waiting for her outside, his eyes gleaming with pride. "You handled that well," he said, his voice low and smooth. Kim smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards him. "I couldn't have done it without you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "You've shown me that I don't need anyone's approval or friendship. I have you, and I have my new family with Devil May Cry." Dante wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. "You'll always have me, Kim," he said, his voice full of emotion. "And you'll always have your new family. We're here for you, no matter what." As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Kim knew that she had truly found her place in the world. She was no longer the Pink Ranger, desperate for approval and friendship. She was Kim, a demon-hunter, a wife, and a member of the Devil May Cry crew. And she was happy.
