Chapter 31: A Heart-to-Heart with the Girls

Part 30

Caleb took a deep breath and decided it was time to be honest with the girls. He had been feeling overwhelmed with emotions and didn't want to hide anything from them anymore. The girls were all chatting and laughing together, and Caleb cleared his throat to get their attention. "Hey, girls, can I talk to you about something?" he asked, his voice a little nervous. The girls immediately stopped what they were doing and turned to face him, concern etched on their faces. "What's up, Caleb?" Merida asked, her voice soft and gentle. Caleb took another deep breath before diving into the conversation. "Girls, remember yesterday I told you that I get excited about all of you, and you all let me kiss you last night during the sleepover?" he asked, his face growing warm with embarrassment. The girls nodded, their eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Yeah, we remember," Pocahontas said, her voice encouraging. Caleb's heart was racing as he continued. "Well, my feelings for all of you have grown stronger, and I don't know what to do or how to handle or express them without doing anything that would be uncomfortable for any of you." The room fell silent, and Caleb could feel his heart pounding in his chest. He had been worried about how the girls would react, but he knew he had to be honest with them. Tiana was the first to speak up, her voice kind and understanding. "Caleb, we're glad you're being honest with us," she said. "We care about you too, and we want you to be happy." "But what does this mean for us?" Merida asked, her brow furrowed with concern. "Are you saying you have feelings for all of us?" Caleb nodded, feeling a little vulnerable. "I don't know how to explain it," he said. "I just know that I care about each and every one of you, and I don't want to do anything that would make any of you uncomfortable." The girls looked at each other, and Caleb could see the wheels turning in their minds. He held his breath, waiting for their response. Pocahontas was the first to speak up. "Caleb, we appreciate your honesty," she said. "But we need to talk about this and figure out what it means for us." The girls nodded in agreement, and Caleb felt a sense of relief wash over him. He knew it wouldn't be easy, but he was glad he had been honest with them. Now, all they had to do was navigate this new development and figure out what it meant for their relationships with each other.
