"A Spark Extinguished"
Part 268
Toga's eyes gleamed with excitement as she turned to me, her smile growing wider. I felt a shiver run down my spine as she took a step closer, her hand reaching out to touch my face. I tried to flinch away, but she was too quick, her fingers brushing against my cheek. And then, in a flash of movement, she had pulled out a small blade and slashed it across my face. I felt a stinging pain as the blade cut through my skin, and I brought a hand to my cheek as blood began to trickle down. Toga's smile grew even wider as she gazed at me, her eyes sparkling with delight. "You're so pretty, Vesper-chan," she cooed, her voice husky and suggestive. I felt a shiver run down my spine as she gazed at me, her smile creepy but somehow also cute. I didn't know how to react, frozen in shock as I stared at her. Toga turned to the others, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "Dabi, look! She looks so cute when she's bleeding, right, Shigaraki and Dabi?" Dabi's eyes flicked to mine, his expression unreadable. Shigaraki's eyes locked onto mine, his expression cold and calculating. For a moment, I thought I saw a flicker of discomfort in his eyes, but it was quickly extinguished as he turned back to Toga. "Yes, Toga," Dabi said, his voice low and smooth. "You always were one for the dramatic." Toga giggled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I just love seeing Vesper-chan's face when she's bleeding," she said, her voice dripping with excitement. "It's just so... pretty." I felt a surge of fear as Toga took another step closer, her blade still clutched in her hand. I didn't know what she was going to do next, but I knew I had to be careful. One wrong move, and she could hurt me even more. Shigaraki's eyes flicked back to mine, his expression unreadable. For a moment, I thought I saw a glimmer of something in his eyes, something that looked almost like concern. But it was quickly extinguished as he turned back to Toga. "Toga, that's enough," he said, his voice cool and detached. Toga pouted, her eyes flashing with disappointment. But she didn't argue, instead turning back to me with a smile. "I'll leave you to your pretty face, Vesper-chan," she said, her voice husky and suggestive. "For now." And with that, she turned and walked away, leaving me to wonder what had just happened. I glanced at Shigaraki, trying to read his expression. But he was unreadable, his eyes cold and calculating as he gazed at me. I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realized that I was still in grave danger, and that Toga's actions had only made things more complicated.
