"An Unwelcome Visitor"
Part 5
As they pulled into the driveway, Asher couldn't help but think about Karen and their conversation earlier. He was looking forward to seeing her again, and maybe even showing her some of his own artistic talents. But for now, he was just glad to be home. Aria hopped out of the car and started unloading the groceries, while Asher went around to help her. They were just finishing up when they heard the sound of a car pulling up to the house. "Looks like we've got company," Aria said, glancing up at the driveway. Asher followed her gaze and saw a familiar car pulling up. It was driven by Mrs. Jenkins, a friend of their mom's. Asher's heart sank as he remembered that Mrs. Jenkins had a habit of dropping by unannounced. Their mom came out of the house, a big smile on her face. "Judy! It's so great to see you!" Mrs. Jenkins hopped out of the car and gave their mom a hug. "It's great to see you too, Karen. I was just in the neighborhood and thought I'd drop by." Asher exchanged a look with Aria, who raised an eyebrow. This was definitely not a coincidence. As they all went inside, Mrs. Jenkins made a beeline for Asher. "Asher, it's so great to see you! You're looking good." She gave him a hug, holding him a little longer than necessary. Asher tried to brush it off, but he could feel himself getting uncomfortable. He glanced over at Aria, who was watching the exchange with a mixture of amusement and annoyance. Their mom invited Mrs. Jenkins to stay for lunch, and Asher found himself trapped at the table with her. Mrs. Jenkins kept making little comments about Asher's appearance, trying to get a rise out of him. Asher tried his best to ignore her, focusing on his food and pretending not to notice. But it wasn't easy. Asher found himself getting more and more turned on by the minute, thanks to Mrs. Jenkins' flirtatious behavior. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, trying to hide his growing arousal. Aria caught his eye and raised an eyebrow. She knew exactly what was going on, and she was trying not to laugh. As they finished up lunch and started clearing the table, Mrs. Jenkins reached out and touched Asher's arm. "You're such a handsome young man, Asher. I'm sure you've got a lot of... admirers." Asher felt his face heat up as he pulled his arm away, trying to play it cool. "Uh, thanks, Mrs. Jenkins." Their mom intervened, changing the subject and steering the conversation towards safer topics. But Asher knew that Mrs. Jenkins was just getting started. He could tell that she was going to keep pushing until she got a reaction out of him. As the afternoon wore on, Asher found himself getting more and more anxious. He knew that he had to find a way to deal with Mrs. Jenkins' flirtations, and fast. But for now, he was stuck at the table with her, trying to keep his cool.
