**Chapter 3: The Discovery**
Part 3
Athena's heart sank as she approached the scene of devastation. The bridge collapse had left a trail of destruction, with cars crushed and debris scattered everywhere. She had been searching for Bobby for what felt like an eternity, and her anxiety was growing by the minute. As she made her way through the wreckage, she spotted a large slab of concrete, partially collapsed. Her heart skipped a beat as she wondered if it could be where Bobby was trapped. She took a deep breath and steeled herself for what she might find. Athena's trained eyes scanned the area, taking in the extent of the damage. She saw Maddie, Buck, and Evan, her team's paramedics, rushing around, trying to help those in need. She quickly made her way over to them. "Maddie, Buck, Evan, I think I found something," Athena said, her voice firm but worried. The three of them quickly followed Athena to the slab of concrete. As they approached, Athena's heart sank. There, beneath the concrete, was a figure. Athena's eyes widened as she saw that it was Bobby. "Bobby!" Athena yelled, her voice shaking with emotion. "Bobby, can you hear me?" The figure didn't move. Athena's heart sank. She quickly called for backup, her voice firm and urgent. "We need to get him out of here, now!" Athena yelled to the team. Buck and Evan quickly sprang into action, working to stabilize the concrete slab. Maddie rushed over to Athena's side, her eyes wide with concern. "Athena, we need to keep him awake," Maddie said, her voice calm and professional. "Can you talk to him?" Athena nodded, her eyes fixed on Bobby's face. She gently touched his cheek, trying to rouse him. "Bobby, wake up," Athena said, her voice soft and gentle. "I need you to wake up." Bobby didn't respond. Athena's heart sank. She tried again, her voice more urgent. "Bobby, please wake up. I need you to talk to me." As Athena continued to try and rouse Bobby, Buck and Evan worked to stabilize the concrete slab. They carefully maneuvered the slab, trying to free Bobby without causing further injury. Athena's eyes never left Bobby's face. She could see that he was bleeding, and his face was pale. She knew that they had to act fast. "Maddie, can you get the medical equipment over here?" Athena asked, her voice firm. Maddie nodded and quickly ran off to get the equipment. Athena continued to try and keep Bobby awake, talking to him softly and gently. As the team worked to rescue Bobby, Athena's anxiety grew. She knew that every second counted, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that they were running out of time. But she refused to give up. She knew that she had to stay focused, for Bobby's sake. She took a deep breath and continued to talk to Bobby, trying to keep him awake. And then, just as they were making progress, the slab shifted, putting Bobby's life in even greater danger. Athena's heart skipped a beat as she wondered if they were going to be able to save him.
