**Chapter 262: The End Game**
Part 262
"What do you want the end result to be?" I asked Shigaraki, my voice firm and resolute. Shigaraki's smile grew even wider, and he leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers together. "Ah, Vesper, the end result is simple," he said. "I want to see a new world order, one where the strong are free to pursue their passions without the constraints of the current system. A world where the weak are protected, but also encouraged to grow and become stronger." I raised an eyebrow, skeptical of his words. "And how do you plan to achieve this?" I asked. Shigaraki's eyes glinted with intensity. "I plan to break down the existing power structures, to create a vacuum that can be filled by a new, more flexible system. And I plan to use you, Vesper, as a key part of that process." I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realized the full extent of his plan. "You want to use me to help you destroy the current system," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. Shigaraki nodded, his smile never wavering. "I want to use you to help me create a new world, Vesper. A world where you and I can thrive, where we can be free to pursue our passions without the constraints of the current system." I shook my head, trying to clear the cobwebs. "And what about the heroes?" I asked. "What about the people who will be hurt or killed in the process of creating this new world?" Shigaraki's expression turned cold, his eyes glinting with a hard, calculating light. "The heroes are just that, Vesper," he said. "Heroes. They're relics of a bygone era, clinging to a system that's outdated and inefficient. They'll either adapt, or they'll get left behind." I felt a surge of anger at his words, but I pushed it down, trying to think clearly. "And what's in it for you?" I asked, my voice firm. "What do you hope to gain from all of this?" Shigaraki's smile grew wider, and he leaned forward, his eyes burning with intensity. "I hope to gain the one thing that I've always wanted, Vesper," he said. "I hope to gain true power. The power to shape the world in my image, to create a new reality that's free from the constraints of the current system." I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized the full extent of Shigaraki's ambition. I knew that I had to make a decision, and fast. Was I going to join him, or was I going to try to stop him? The fate of the world hung in the balance.
