Refining Our Hero Looks
Part 19
Refining Our Hero Looks I pulled out my sketchbook and started to sketch out a rough design for Bakugo's costume. "I was thinking it would be mostly black, but with some orange accents," I said, showing him my drawing. The black jumpsuit had orange stripes running down the sides, and a black mask that covered his eyes, with two small orange slits for his eyes. Bakugo's eyes scanned the page, his expression neutral. "Not bad, I guess," he said, his voice noncommittal. I could tell he was trying to be modest, but I knew he was secretly pleased. I grinned, feeling a sense of satisfaction. "I'm glad you like it," I said, trying to sound casual. Bakugo's design was starting to come together, and I was excited to see how it would look in person. With Bakugo's design mostly settled, I turned my attention to my own costume. I started to sketch out a rough design, trying to think of something that would fit my Night Agency theme. I decided on a mostly black costume, with some dark blue accents to give it a bit of depth. I added a mask that covered my eyes, similar to Bakugo's, but with a slightly different design. Mine had a series of thin, angular lines that gave it a bit of a futuristic look. As I worked on my design, Bakugo glanced over at me, his eyes scanning my sketchbook. "What's that?" he asked, his curiosity getting the better of him. I flipped my sketchbook around, showing him my design. "My costume," I said, trying to sound proud. Bakugo's eyes narrowed, his expression thoughtful. "Looks good," he said, his voice a bit more enthusiastic than before. "The mask is a good idea. It'll help you get into character." I nodded, feeling a sense of relief. I was glad Bakugo liked my design, and I was excited to start working on the actual costume. With our designs mostly settled, I felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. We were one step closer to becoming real heroes, and I couldn't wait to see what the future held. The fluorescent lights overhead seemed to hum with a newfound energy, as if they too were excited to see our hero costumes come to life. Bakugo and I worked in silence for a few minutes, our pens scratching against the paper as we refined our designs. The classroom around us melted away, leaving only the two of us, lost in our own little world of hero costumes and Quirk-filled adventures.
