A Peaceful Morning
Part 10
Julie slowly opened her eyes to find herself surrounded by the comforting presence of her friends. Yoongi was sitting in a chair next to her bed, engrossed in a book, his eyes scanning the pages with a look of calm focus. Jimin, on the other hand, was sitting beside her, his head resting on the bed, his chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. He was fast asleep, a look of exhaustion etched on his face. Julie's gaze lingered on Jimin, concern etched on her face. "Is Jimin okay?" she asked Yoongi, her voice barely above a whisper. Yoongi looked up from his book, a gentle smile on his face. "He's fine," he said. "He's just a bit tired. He was up all night, watching over you." Julie's eyes softened with gratitude as she reached out her hand to Yoongi. She pulled him closer, so she could talk to him without straining her voice. "How are you doing?" she asked, her eyes searching his face. "You've been here the whole time, watching over me. I don't remember a lot about what happened after...tell me what happened." Yoongi set his book aside and leaned in, his face inches from hers. "You were in an accident," he said, his voice low and gentle. "You were hit by a car while crossing the street. Jimin was with you, and he did everything he could to save you. He pulled you out of the way just in time, but you still got hurt pretty badly." Julie's eyes widened as she listened, her mind trying to process the information. She remembered walking across the street, and then...nothing. She had no memory of the accident or what had happened after. "What about Jimin?" she asked, her voice filled with concern. "He looks so tired." Yoongi's expression softened. "He's been taking care of you all night," he said. "He barely slept or ate. I had to practically force him to rest." Julie's eyes drifted back to Jimin, her heart swelling with love and gratitude. She gently reached out and brushed a strand of hair out of his face, her touch tender. "Thank you, Yoongi," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "For taking care of us." Yoongi smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "That's what friends are for," he said.
