A Moment of Emotional Release
Part 112
As we walked towards the dorms, Bakugo and I shared a moment of comfortable silence. The tension from our earlier encounter with Tomura had dissipated, replaced by a sense of relief and gratitude. We had made it out alive, and that was all that mattered. "Hey, thanks for grabbing onto you back there," I said, breaking the silence. Bakugo snorted, but a small smile played on his lips. "Anytime, I guess," he replied, his voice low and rough. "I mean, I wasn't about to let you get hurt, even if it meant being swept up by Hawks like a rag doll." I chuckled, feeling a sense of camaraderie with my friend. "Yeah, I guess not." As we approached the dorm, Bakugo fell into step beside me, his eyes scanning the surroundings with a mixture of curiosity and caution. We reached the door and knocked, the sound echoing through the hallway. The door swung open, and Deku's face appeared, his eyes widening as he took in our presence. But as he gazed at us, his expression crumpled, and he let out a sob. Before I could react, he flung himself into my arms, hugging me tightly. I was taken aback, but as I wrapped my arms around Deku, I felt a lump form in my throat. I started to cry, the emotions of the past few hours pouring out of me. Bakugo, standing beside us, let out a smirk, clearly amused by the spectacle. But our moment of emotional release didn't go unnoticed. The rest of the class, who had been watching from inside the dorm, began to file out, their faces filled with concern and curiosity. As they gathered around us, they too began to hug me, each one adding their own brand of comfort and support. I cried, the tears streaming down my face as I felt the weight of their emotions, their fears and worries, and their relief that we were safe. The tears were a mix of sadness and happiness, a release of all the pent-up emotions that had been building up inside me. As I stood there, surrounded by my friends, I felt a sense of belonging, of being part of something bigger than myself. We had been through so much together, and in that moment, I knew that we would face whatever came next, as a team.
