"Rifts in the Fabric of Time"
Part 37
Coco Bandicoot's urgent tone echoed through the comms device, summoning Doc and Myra to an emergency meeting. "Guys, I've got a situation on my hands, and I need your expertise. I've been tracking some anomalies in the space-time continuum, and I think we have a suspect in mind." Doc's voice was laced with concern as he responded, "What kind of anomalies, Coco? And who's the suspect?" "It's Emma," Coco replied, her voice firm. "She's been causing ripples in the fabric of time, and I think she's the one responsible for the distortions I've been detecting." Myra's eyes widened as she listened to the conversation. She hadn't spoken to Emma in years, not since high school, when Emma had been a constant presence in her friend group. Myra had always had a soft spot for Emma, but it was Luis who had been Emma's object of affection back then. Myra remembered how Emma would often push Luis to be with her, but he had never seemed interested. "Coco, can you give us more information?" Doc asked, his brow furrowed in concern. "From what I've gathered, Emma's been jumping between timelines, causing chaos and disrupting the natural order of events," Coco explained. "I've managed to pinpoint her location to a specific timeline, but I need your help to track her down and put a stop to her antics." Myra's thoughts were flooded with memories of Emma from high school. She had always been a free spirit, never content to follow the crowd. Myra had lost touch with Emma after graduation, as they had all gone their separate ways. But hearing that Emma was causing problems in the multiverse made Myra wonder if some things had never changed. As Coco continued to brief Doc and Myra on the situation, Myra couldn't help but think about how Emma's actions might affect her own life. Hadn't Emma been the one who had dated Luis, and then gone on to have relationships with so many other people? Myra had often wondered what had become of Emma, and now it seemed that their paths were about to cross again. "I'm in," Myra said, determination etched on her face. "Let's go track down Emma and see what's going on." Doc nodded, a plan already forming in his mind. "Alright, let's gear up and get moving. We'll need to be careful, though – if Emma's causing distortions in the space-time continuum, she may be more powerful than we think." Together, the trio set off on their mission, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. Little did they know that Emma was currently walking hand in hand with Natalie, oblivious to the storm brewing around her.
