The Unexpected Encounter
Part 1
The bustling college cafeteria was a melting pot of diverse students, all rushing to grab a bite before their next class. Liliana Stocks, a sophomore with short, curly black hair and a bright smile, was no exception. She juggled a tray and a thick book, trying to make her way to an empty table. In her haste, she lost her grip on the tray, and a mess of pasta, sauce, and vegetables spilled all over her shirt. "Oh no!" Liliana exclaimed, mortified, as she stood frozen, unsure of what to do next. That's when Oliver Wood, a tall, lean junior with brown flat hair and a charming Scottish accent, rushed to her aid. "Hey, are you okay? Let me help you," he said, grabbing a stack of napkins from the counter. Together, they cleaned up the mess, with Oliver expertly dabbing at the stains on Liliana's shirt. As they worked, Liliana couldn't help but notice the way Oliver's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled. "Thanks so much, I owe you one," she said, feeling a flutter in her chest. "No worries, happy to help," Oliver replied, handing her a napkin to finish cleaning up. "I'm Oliver, by the way." "Liliana," she said, taking his hand in a firm handshake. The spark of electricity that ran through her body caught her off guard. As they stood there, Oliver couldn't help but take in Liliana's petite, curvy frame and her infectious laugh. He was drawn to her warmth and energy, and he found himself wanting to spend more time with her. "Would you like to grab another tray and sit with me?" Oliver asked, breaking the silence. Liliana hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should be getting involved with a junior, especially one as charming and confident as Oliver. But there was something about him that put her at ease, so she nodded. Over lunch, they talked about everything from their classes to their favorite TV shows. Liliana was captivated by Oliver's stories about his hometown in Scotland, and he was impressed by her passion for psychology. As they finished their meal, Oliver walked Liliana to her next class, leaving her feeling more than a little smitten. As they parted ways, Oliver couldn't shake off the feeling that he'd just met someone special. He made a mental note to find Liliana again soon, and maybe, just maybe, ask her out on a proper date. Liliana, on the other hand, couldn't stop thinking about Oliver's bright blue eyes and the way he made her feel like she was the only person in the room. She quickened her pace, feeling a spring in her step and a flutter in her chest. Little did she know, their chance encounter was just the beginning of a romance that would change her life forever. As Liliana walked to her next class, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. She had a feeling that she would see Oliver again soon, and she couldn't wait to find out what the future held for them. The rest of Liliana's day flew by in a blur, but she couldn't shake off the memory of Oliver's charming smile and kind demeanor. She found herself wondering what it would be like to be with him, to explore the campus and the town together. As the sun began to set, Liliana made her way back to her dorm room, feeling more than a little hopeful about what the future might hold. She flopped onto her bed, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her. Just as she was drifting off to sleep, her phone buzzed with a text from an unknown number. "Hey Liliana, it's Oliver. I had a great time talking to you today. Would love to grab coffee or study together sometime?" Liliana's heart skipped a beat as she smiled to herself, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. She quickly typed out a response, her fingers flying across the screen. "Hey Oliver, I'd love to. When were you thinking?"
