"New Life and New Beginnings"
Part 6
As I lay on the soft, woven mat, my heavily swollen belly rising like a mountain, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the tiny lives growing inside me. It had been a few months since Hange and I had tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by our loved ones, and now, I was pregnant with not one, not two, but multiple dragon eggs. The villagers had been overjoyed when they heard the news, and Yumi had taken it upon herself to become my personal caregiver, ensuring that I was well taken care of during this special time. Hange gently sat beside me, his eyes filled with love and adoration as he gazed at my swollen belly. He reached out a hand, his fingers tracing the curves of my stomach, and I felt a surge of love and gratitude towards him. He leaned forward, his lips brushing against my skin, and I closed my eyes, savoring the gentle kiss. As his lips touched my belly, I felt a strange sensation, like a stirring or a shifting, and I realized that it was the dragon eggs moving inside me. It was a subtle movement, but it was unmistakable. I smiled, feeling a sense of joy and wonder at the tiny lives growing inside me. One of the dragon eggs seemed to sense its father's presence, and it pressed against my stomach, as if trying to get closer to Hange. I felt a tiny bump or nudge, and I laughed, reaching out to gently stroke my belly. "I think one of the little ones wants to say hello," I said, smiling at Hange. Hange's eyes lit up with delight, and he pressed his ear against my belly, listening to the subtle movements of the dragon eggs. I felt a sense of peace wash over me, knowing that our little family was growing, and that Hange was right by my side. As we sat there, basking in the joy and wonder of our new life, Yumi appeared with a tray of steaming tea and sweet pastries. "I brought some treats to help you with your pregnancy," she said, smiling at us. "And I must say, you're looking particularly radiant today, Akane." I blushed, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Yumi for her kindness and care. Hange smiled, his eyes never leaving mine, and I knew that we were in this together, as a family. We spent the rest of the afternoon basking in the love and joy of our little family, savoring every moment of this special time. As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over our little home, Hange looked up at me, his eyes shining with love and adoration. "I'm so grateful for this life, Akane," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "I'm grateful for you, and for our little ones growing inside you. I promise to always be here for you, to support and protect you, and to love you with all my heart and soul." I smiled, feeling my heart overflow with love. "I'm grateful too, Hange," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. "I promise to stand by your side, through thick and thin, and to love you with all my heart and soul." And as we sealed our promise with a gentle kiss, I knew that our love would continue to grow, and that our little family would flourish.
