**Cutting to Perfection**
Part 2
The studio was buzzing with excitement as Jacquie and Noah prepared to hold auditions for the 10-person team that would be competing at regionals. They had brought in dancers from both A-troupe and B-troupe to showcase their skills and compete for a spot on the team. The dancers were all chatting and stretching, trying to calm their nerves as they waited for the audition to begin. "Okay, everyone! Let's get started," Jacquie called out, holding up a microphone. "We're going to start with a round of freestyle. You can dance to any song you like, just show us what you've got!" The music began, and the dancers took to the floor, each one showcasing their unique style and technique. Jacquie and Noah watched intently, taking notes and discussing the dancers' performances. After the freestyle round, Jacquie and Noah excused themselves to their office to discuss the dancers' performances and make their decisions. They pored over their notes, debating the strengths and weaknesses of each dancer. "I think we've got a tough decision to make," Noah said, rubbing his temples. "So many talented dancers, but only 10 spots available." "I know," Jacquie agreed. "But I think we've got a good idea of who we want to move forward with. Let's make a list." They compiled their notes and came up with a list of the top 10 dancers: Emily, Ellie-Mae, Chloe, Amy, Lillie, Max, Myles, Daniel, Henry, and Hunter. "We've made our decision," Jacquie said, smiling at Noah. "Let's go announce it to the dancers." Jacquie and Noah emerged from their office, smiling at the group of dancers waiting anxiously outside. "Okay, dancers! We've got our team," Jacquie announced. "The 10 dancers who will be moving forward to compete at regionals are... Emily, Ellie-Mae, Chloe, Amy, Lillie, Max, Myles, Daniel, Henry, and Hunter!" The dancers cheered and congratulated each other, with the selected dancers beaming with pride. "Great job, everyone," Noah added. "The dancers who made the team need to meet in Studio A at 3 pm today to discuss the details of the competition." As the dancers began to disperse, the girls who had made the team - Emily, Ellie-Mae, Chloe, Amy, Lillie, and Hunter - decided to celebrate at the juice bar down the street. "I love my name!" Ellie-Mae exclaimed, sipping on a colorful drink. "It's so unique." "Wait a minute," Chloe said, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Our names all end in E! We should call ourselves the E-Girls!" The girls cheered and high-fived each other, excited by the idea. "Okay, so we're the E-Girls," Amy said, grinning. "We need to come up with some rules." "Rule number one: we have to support each other no matter what," Ellie-Mae said, her voice filled with conviction. "Rule number two: we have to have a group dance at every competition," Lillie added. "Rule number three: we have to have a secret handshake," Hunter chimed in. The E-Girls spent the rest of the afternoon brainstorming rules and making plans for their future competitions. As they left the juice bar, they were all smiles, excited to take on the competition as a team.
