"Face Masks and Flirtation"

Part 14

We woke up to the sound of Ethan's alarm blaring in the room. I groggily reached over to turn it off, while Jace and Ethan stirred beside me. The plan for the day was to have a relaxing sleepover, complete with face masks, movies, and plenty of snacks. As we made our way to the bathroom, Ethan pulled out a few face masks from his cabinet. "Alright guys, who's ready to get pampered?" he asked, a mischievous glint in his eye. I squealed with excitement, grabbing a face mask and ripping it open. The scent of cucumber and aloe wafted through the air, and I couldn't wait to relax. Jace just rolled his eyes, but I could see a hint of amusement in his expression. I walked over to Jace, the face mask in my hand. "I'll put it on you," I said, my voice playful. Jace raised an eyebrow, but didn't protest as I sat down on his lap. I gently applied the face mask to his face, making sure to smooth out the wrinkles. He closed his eyes, a look of relaxation washing over him. As I worked, Ethan chuckled from the sink, where he was applying his own face mask. "If Alex was here, he'd probably cry seeing this," he said, a teasing tone in his voice. I looked up at Jace, a mischievous grin spreading across my face. "I don't give a f**k," I said, my voice husky. Jace's eyes flicked open, a hint of surprise in his expression. But then, he just closed them again, a small smile playing on his lips. I sat there for a moment, my hands on his face, the face mask smoothing out his features. I could feel his warmth, his pulse beating beneath my fingers. It was a intimate moment, one that made me feel like I was getting closer to him. As I finished applying the face mask, I leaned back, admiring my handiwork. Jace looked like a completely different person, his features relaxed and calm. Ethan chuckled, snapping a photo of us with his phone. "This is going straight to Instagram," he said, a grin spreading across his face. I laughed, playfully hitting him on the arm. "You're such a d**k," I said, smiling. Jace just opened one eye, a lazy smile spreading across his face. "Can we just watch movies now?" he asked, his voice low and husky. I nodded, settling back into his lap. "Sounds like a plan to me," I said, snuggling into his chest. As we sat there, the tension between us was palpable. But for once, it wasn't just about attraction or frustration. It was about something more, something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. But I knew that I was getting closer, and that was all that mattered.
