Chapter 10: A New Look and a New Beginning

Part 10

The summer had finally come to an end, and the day of the UA entrance exam had arrived. I sat on my bed, fidgeting with excitement and a bit of nervousness. I had studied hard over the summer, but I still couldn't shake off the feeling of uncertainty. I pulled out my phone and typed out a quick message to Kirishima. "Hey, good luck on the exam!" I sent, trying to sound casual. A few moments later, my phone buzzed, and I saw Kirishima's response: "Yea, let's hope we both pass and get in the same class!" I giggled at his message, feeling a surge of excitement at the prospect of being in the same class as him. I quickly typed out a response. "Want to meet at the entrance of UA?" I asked, hoping he would agree. The response came almost immediately. "Sure!" Kirishima wrote. I grinned, feeling a bit more at ease. I walked out of my apartment, and Deku was waiting for me outside. We exchanged a brief hello, and then we set off towards UA. As we walked, I couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. This was it, the exam that would determine our future. I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the present. When we arrived at UA, I scanned the crowd, searching for Kirishima. And then, I saw him. But something was off. Instead of his usual black hair, he had bright red, spiky hair. I gasped in surprise. "Kirishima! Wow, I see you changed your look!" I exclaimed, trying to process the sudden change. Kirishima grinned, looking pleased with himself. "I decided to change it up a little and look more manly!" he said, striking a pose. I giggled, feeling a bit amused. I walked over to him and gave him a hug. "You look great," I said, trying to sound sincere. Izuku, who had been watching us, looked on with a mixture of confusion and jealousy. He glared at Kirishima, who seemed oblivious to his gaze. The proctor announced that it was time to divide the students into groups, and we were split up. I found myself with a group of students I didn't know, while Kirishima and Izuku were in different groups. As we followed our respective groups to the exam venue, I couldn't help but feel a bit anxious. What would the exam be like? Would we make it into UA? And what was with Kirishima's new hair? I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the present, trying to calm my nerves.
