Triumph Over the Dragon
Part 5
As Sir Valoric stood victorious over Scorch, he knew that his journey was far from over. He had to return to Blackstone Village and prove to the villagers that he had defeated the dragon woman who had been terrorizing them. With Scorch securely bound by the magical collar, Sir Valoric led her out of the cave, the rope attached to her neck allowing him to control her movements. The villagers gathered at the edge of the village, their faces a mix of curiosity and wariness as they saw Scorch being led back. Sir Valoric approached them, Scorch by his side, and announced, "I have defeated the dragon woman! She will no longer pose a threat to Blackstone Village." The villagers cheered, relief washing over their faces. However, Sir Valoric's expression turned serious as he continued, "But I will not be leaving her here. She will be coming with me, to be taken far from these lands. I want to ensure that Blackstone Village can live in peace, free from the fear of her wrath." The villagers nodded in agreement, grateful for Sir Valoric's mercy. As they watched, Sir Valoric led Scorch away from the village, the dragon woman's eyes fixed on the people she had once terrorized. Sir Valoric could sense her anger and humiliation, but he knew that it was for the best. The villagers deserved to live without fear, and Scorch needed to be taken away from the land she had grown to hate. As they walked, Scorch remained silent, her gaze fixed on the ground. Sir Valoric did not try to speak to her, instead focusing on the road ahead. He knew that it would take time for Scorch to come to terms with her new circumstances, and he was willing to give her the space she needed. The journey was long and arduous, but eventually, they reached the outskirts of a dense forest. Sir Valoric stopped, looking at Scorch with a mixture of pity and determination. "We'll be stopping here for the night," he said, his voice firm but gentle. "Tomorrow, we'll continue on our journey." Scorch looked up at him, her eyes flashing with anger, but she said nothing. Sir Valoric nodded, his expression unchanging, and began to set up camp. As the night wore on, Scorch remained distant, her emotions simmering just below the surface. Sir Valoric kept a close eye on her, aware that she was still a powerful and unpredictable foe, but he was determined to see their journey through to its end.
