Chapter 110: Unexpected Salvation
Part 109
"Unexpected Salvation" Just as Tomura's hand was about to make contact with me, a bright light filled the room, and a familiar figure appeared out of nowhere. Osby, my trusty Quirk-using ally, had arrived just in time. With a mischievous grin, he transformed into a human shield, positioning himself between me and Tomura. "Hey ya, miss me?!" Osby exclaimed, his voice dripping with confidence. I felt a wave of relief wash over me as I stared at Osby in gratitude. "Thanks, Osby," I said, my voice shaking with emotion. Tomura's grin faltered for a moment, and he took a step back, clearly taken aback by Osby's sudden intervention. "Osby, you meddling fool," he spat, his eyes narrowing. "You think you can protect her?" Osby chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, I don't just think I can protect her, Tomura. I know I can." With a flick of his wrist, Osby summoned a flurry of sharp, glowing blades that hovered around us, ready to defend against any attack. Tomura's eyes widened, and he took another step back, clearly hesitant to test Osby's abilities. Bakugo, sensing an opportunity, redoubled his efforts to break free from his restraints. "Vesper, get out of here! I've got this!" I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do. But Osby's confident grin and the protective barrier of blades around us gave me the courage to make a move. With a nod, I whispered, "Let's go." Osby chuckled and nodded, and together, we made a break for the door, with Tomura and his cohorts hot on our heels. The sound of Bakugo's struggles and the clash of Quirk abilities filled the air as we fought our way out of the room. As we burst through the door, I caught a glimpse of Dabi and Himiko, their faces twisted in anger. But Osby's shields and blades kept them at bay, and we managed to gain a small lead. We didn't stop running until we were several corridors away, the sounds of our pursuers fading into the distance. Finally, we slowed to a stop, panting and gasping for breath. Osby grinned at me, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Told you I'd show up to save the day." I smiled, feeling a deep sense of gratitude towards my friend. "Thanks, Osby. I owe you one." But as we caught our breath, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was far from over. Tomura's plans were still in motion, and we had to be ready for whatever came next.
