**An Uneasy Alliance**

Part 2

Player 001 gently pulled Myung-gi up, his grip firm but not constricting. Myung-gi winced, still feeling the sting of the previous attack, but allowed himself to be helped up. As he stood, player 001 asked, "Want to join my team?" Myung-gi hesitated, unsure of what to make of the sudden offer. He had just been beaten by two players, and now this... mysterious player was offering him a spot on his team? With a reluctant nod, Myung-gi agreed. Player 001 smiled, a warm, gentle smile that put Myung-gi at ease. "Great, follow me," he said, leading Myung-gi to a group of players gathered near the corner of the room. As they approached, Myung-gi saw a diverse group of players, each with their own unique appearance and demeanor. There was 388, a petite woman with short, spiky hair; 456, a lanky player with a mop of curly brown hair; 120, a soft-spoken individual with a bookish look; 007, a suave, charismatic player with a charming smile; 095, a quiet, reserved player with a hoodie pulled over their head; and 290, a boisterous player with a loud laugh. But one face stood out - a face Myung-gi knew all too well. 222, his ex-girlfriend, Junhee, stood with her arms crossed, her eyes fixed on him with a cold, hard stare. Player 001 wrapped his arm around Myung-gi's shoulder, pulling him into the group. "Everyone, this is...?" He paused, looking at Myung-gi with a questioning expression. Myung-gi's eyes widened as player 001 continued, "333, a new member of our team." The group turned to Myung-gi, awaiting introductions. 388 smiled and waved, while 456 nodded in greeting. 120 bowed slightly, and 007 flashed a charming smile. 095 nodded quietly, and 290 boomed out a loud hello. But Junhee remained silent, her glare piercing through Myung-gi like a knife. Finally, she broke the silence, her voice cold and detached. "He shouldn't be on our team." The group exchanged confused glances, and player 001 raised an eyebrow. "Why's that, Junhee?" he asked. Junhee's eyes never left Myung-gi's face. "He's my ex. The reason I'm even in this place." The group fell silent, their eyes fixed on Myung-gi. He felt a surge of embarrassment and unease, wondering how Junhee had ended up in this game. As the silence dragged on, player 001 spoke up, his voice firm but gentle. "Well, now that we know, let's discuss it. Should we let him stay?" The group began to murmur among themselves, debating Myung-gi's worthiness to join their team. Myung-gi would have excused himself, but player 001's iron grip on his shoulder held him in place. After a few minutes of debate, the group reached a decision. "We'll let him stay," player 001 announced, "but if he does anything shady or weird, he's out." Myung-gi nodded, relief washing over him. Junhee's glare still lingered, but he tried to ignore it, focusing on the uncertain future ahead. As the group began to disperse, player 001 released his grip on Myung-gi's shoulder. "I'm Young-il, by the way," he said with a smile. "Welcome to the team, 333." Myung-gi returned the smile, still trying to process the unexpected turn of events. How did Young-il know his name, anyway?
