Chapter 2: Behind the Scenes
Part 2
As the day went on, Sammy found herself getting more and more comfortable in her new role. CL was an amazing mentor, and the rest of the team was friendly and welcoming. She spent the morning assisting with a photoshoot for a new music video, and was amazed by the level of detail that went into every aspect of the production. During a break in filming, CL took Sammy to a small café on the second floor of the building, where they sat down to enjoy some coffee and snacks. As they chatted, Sammy couldn't help but ask CL about her experiences as a K-pop idol. CL smiled, and began to tell her about the highs and lows of her career. "I've been in this industry for over a decade now," CL said, "and it's been a wild ride. There have been times when I felt like giving up, but the passion for music and performance has always kept me going." Sammy listened, entranced, as CL talked about her early days as a trainee, and the struggles she had faced as a rookie idol. She was amazed by CL's strength and resilience, and felt inspired by her story. Just as they were finishing up their coffee, T.O.P walked into the café, looking as handsome and charming as he had in the hallway earlier. CL smiled, and nodded in his direction. "Speak of the devil," she said, with a mischievous glint in her eye. T.O.P walked over to their table, and sat down in the empty chair. "What's going on?" he asked, his eyes scanning the room as if searching for something. CL filled him in on their conversation, and T.O.P listened intently, his eyes never leaving CL's face. Sammy felt a little self-conscious, sitting there with two of K-pop's biggest stars, but T.O.P seemed to sense her unease, and turned to her with a smile. "So, Sammy," he said, "tell me about yourself. What brings you to YG Entertainment?" Sammy launched into a brief summary of her background and experience, feeling a little nervous but trying to be confident. T.O.P listened attentively, his eyes sparkling with interest, and when she finished, he nodded thoughtfully. "I think you're going to fit in just fine here," he said, with a smile. "CL is a great mentor, and I'm sure you'll learn a lot from her." As they chatted, Sammy felt a sense of ease wash over her. T.O.P was charming and funny, just like she had expected, and she found herself laughing and joking with him like they were old friends. But as the afternoon wore on, Sammy began to notice that T.O.P seemed to be in a bit of a hurry. He kept glancing at his watch, and excusing himself to take phone calls. CL noticed it too, and raised an eyebrow. "Everything okay?" she asked, as T.O.P rushed out of the room. T.O.P nodded, and smiled. "Yeah, everything's fine. I just have a few things to take care of. I'll be back soon." As he disappeared into the hallway, CL turned to Sammy with a concerned expression. "I'm not sure what's going on with him," she said, "but he's been acting strange all day." Sammy's curiosity was piqued. What could be going on with T.O.P that was causing him to be so distracted? And as she followed CL back to the office, she couldn't help but wonder what secrets lay behind the scenes at YG Entertainment.
