Aftermath

Part 24

The memories of the previous day's events still lingered in my mind like a dark cloud, casting a shadow over my thoughts. Bakugo's words to me still echoed in my mind, "We're getting out of there, together." His actions had been a beacon of hope in a situation that could have easily turned dire. As soon as we arrived back at the dorms, Bakugo and I headed straight to Aizawa sensei's office, determined to report the incident with Toga. The rest of the group followed closely behind, their faces etched with concern. When we arrived, Aizawa sensei looked up from the papers on his desk, his eyes narrowing as he took in our serious expressions. "What's going on?" he asked, his voice firm but controlled. Bakugo filled him in on the events that had transpired, leaving out no details. Aizawa sensei's expression grew increasingly grim as he listened, his eyes flashing with anger. "I see," he said, his voice cold and calculated. "It seems that the League of Villains is becoming more and more brazen. I'll make sure to increase security around the dorms and report this to the authorities." He picked up the phone on his desk and dialed a number, his eyes never leaving ours. "I'll have some guards stationed around the dorms, just in case. You all need to be careful and stay vigilant." The next morning, I woke up to the sound of footsteps outside my room. I got out of bed and opened the door to find two security guards standing in the hallway, their eyes scanning the area. "Good morning, Vesper-chan," one of them said with a nod. "We're here to keep an eye on things. Aizawa sensei's orders." I smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. With the guards stationed around the dorms, I felt a sense of safety that I hadn't felt in a long time. As I went about my day, I couldn't help but feel grateful for Aizawa sensei's quick actions and Bakugo's bravery. The atmosphere around the dorms was tense, but it was a good kind of tense - the kind that came with knowing that people were looking out for you. I walked to the cafeteria, surrounded by my friends, and for the first time in a long time, I felt like I could finally breathe a sigh of relief. But as I sat down at our usual table, I couldn't shake off the feeling that this was only the beginning. Toga's parting words still lingered in my mind, and I knew that the League of Villains was far from done with us. I glanced over at Bakugo, who was watching me with a concerned expression. "Hey, Vesper," he said, his voice low. "We're not going to let anything happen to you. You're safe with us." I smiled, feeling a surge of gratitude towards him. I knew that with Bakugo and the others by my side, I could face whatever challenges lay ahead.
