Bakugo's eyes followed mine, and I saw his gaze lock onto the twisted reflection of myself hanging from the ceiling. For a moment, Bakugo's face was frozen, his expression a mix of shock and horror. Then, his eyes snapped back to the doppelganger, his jaw clenched in a fierce determination. "You shut up," he growled, his voice low and menacing. The doppelganger's smile grew wider, its eyes glinting with amusement. "You can't protect her from herself," it said, its voice dripping with contempt. "You can't save her from the darkness that's inside." I felt a wave of fear wash over me, threatening to engulf me. Bakugo's arm tightened around me, holding me close as if he could shield me from the horror that loomed before us.
