Morning After

Part 5

The warmth of Emma's body was still wrapped around him, her gentle breathing a soothing balm to his soul. Dan lay there, feeling the softness of her skin against his, and the memories of their passionate encounter still lingered in his mind. They had slept together, completely naked, their bodies entwined in a comfortable embrace. As he drifted in and out of consciousness, Dan became aware of the sound of sunlight filtering through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. He opened his eyes, and Emma stirred, her eyes fluttering open. "Good morning," she whispered, her voice husky from sleep. Dan smiled, his heart still racing from the memories of the night before. "Good morning," he replied, his voice low and smooth. They lay there for a moment, enjoying the warmth and comfort of each other's presence. But their peaceful morning was short-lived, as a loud knock on the door broke the silence. "Wake up, you two!" a voice called out. Dan and Emma exchanged a look, and then Dan groggily got out of bed, pulling on a pair of shorts to answer the door. He opened it to find Rupert standing in the hallway, a mischievous grin on his face. "Morning, sleepyheads," Rupert said, his eyes scanning Dan's naked chest before moving to his face. "I brought breakfast. You two are going to need it after last night's shenanigans." Dan rolled his eyes, feeling a flush rise to his cheeks. "Thanks, Rupert," he said, trying to hide his embarrassment. Rupert chuckled and held out a tray loaded with food. "I figured you two would be starving. And I have to say, I'm a little surprised. I didn't think you two would actually...you know." Dan's face grew hotter, and he glanced back at Emma, who was now standing in the doorway, a sheet wrapped around her body. "Rupert, shut up," Dan said, laughing. Emma smiled, and Rupert handed her a cup of coffee. "I brought coffee, too. You two look like you could use it." As they stood there, Dan couldn't help but feel grateful for his friends, and the memories they had created together. He glanced at Emma, and she smiled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Thanks, Rupert," Emma said, taking a sip of her coffee. Dan wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. "Yeah, thanks, Rupert. You're a lifesaver." Rupert chuckled and turned to leave. "Anytime, guys. Just don't make me have to tell Alex about this." Dan's eyes widened, and he pulled Emma closer, as if to shield her from Rupert's teasing. But Emma just laughed and took another sip of her coffee. "I think we're safe," she said, smiling up at Dan. But Dan wasn't so sure. He had a feeling that Alex would have a thing or two to say about their night's activities.
