A Moment of Levity
Part 92
I smiled weakly, still trying to process the conversation that had just transpired. The weight of my emotions had been slowly lifting, and I was grateful to have such understanding friends. "And also, it was a joke that I like you guys, haha," I said, trying to sound calm and casual, but my voice came out a little shaky. Kaminari's eyes lit up with amusement, and he grinned mischievously. "We know it was the truth. You literally fainted when we found out," he teased, chuckling to himself. My face grew hot with embarrassment as I shot Kaminari a look. Deku and the others burst out laughing, and I couldn't help but join in. It was a relief to be able to laugh and joke around with my friends again. Bakugo rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "Yeah, yeah, we get it. You're a huge fan of ours. Can we move on now?" I playfully hit him on the arm. "Hey, that's not fair! I'm just... appreciative of your greatness, okay?" Todoroki chuckled and shook his head. "You're something else, you know that?" Kirishima clapped me on the back. "Don't worry, we're not going to let you live this down. You're going to be the mascot of our fan club from now on." I groaned, laughing. "You guys are impossible." As we continued to joke around, I felt a sense of camaraderie wash over me. It was moments like these that I cherished, moments where we could just be ourselves and have fun together. But as the laughter died down, Deku's expression turned serious. "You know, we're not just joking around. We really do care about you, and we're here for you no matter what." I smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards my friends. "I know, Deku. And I appreciate that." The group fell silent for a moment, and then Kaminari spoke up. "You know, we've been thinking... maybe it's time we started working on a new project together." I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What kind of project?" Bakugo grinned mischievously. "Something that will put our skills to the test. And maybe, just maybe, get us into a little trouble." I exchanged a look with Todoroki, and we both shrugged. "Sounds like fun to me," I said, and the others nodded in agreement. And with that, our next adventure was born.
