Flames of Attraction

Part 2

The days turned into weeks, and Peter found himself constantly on the lookout for Johnny Storm. He couldn't explain the connection he'd felt at the charity gala, but he couldn't shake off the memory of Johnny's charming smile and infectious laugh. As Spider-Man, Peter was used to being on call, ready to swing into action at a moment's notice. But as a photographer for the Daily Bugle, he also had to stay on top of the latest news and trends. One evening, as he was working on a photo shoot, Peter heard the familiar sound of the Daily Bugle's newsroom buzzing with activity. He looked up to see Johnny Storm walking towards him, his iconic Human Torch costume gleaming in the fluorescent lighting. "Hey, Parker!" Johnny called out, flashing a grin. "I heard you were the go-to photographer for the Bugle. I needed some shots for a new project, and I figured, why not kill two birds with one stone?" Peter's heart skipped a beat as he smiled, trying to play it cool. "What kind of project?" Johnny plopped down in a chair, his confident demeanor radiating ease. "I'm working with a local children's hospital to create a mural. I want to get some photos of the kids and the hospital staff to use in the promotion." As they talked, Peter couldn't help but feel drawn to Johnny's warmth and energy. He snapped photos of Johnny interacting with the hospital staff and kids, capturing the Human Torch's natural charm and charisma. Over the next few weeks, Peter and Johnny kept running into each other at various superhero events and social gatherings. They exchanged stories, laughed together, and discovered shared passions for justice and photography. Peter found himself increasingly attracted to Johnny's quick wit, adventurous spirit, and kind heart. One evening, as they were attending a fundraiser for a local community center, Peter caught himself stealing glances at Johnny. He couldn't help but notice the way Johnny's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck. As they chatted with a group of donors, Johnny turned to Peter and asked, "So, what do you like to do for fun, Parker?" Peter hesitated, unsure how to respond. He didn't have much of a social life outside of his superhero work and photography. But then he remembered a conversation they'd had earlier about music. "I love listening to music," Peter said, a smile spreading across his face. "I'm a bit of a fan of classic rock." Johnny's eyes lit up. "No way! I'm a huge fan of Led Zeppelin. I've seen them in concert like five times." Their conversation flowed easily from there, and Peter found himself feeling more and more at ease around Johnny. As the evening drew to a close, Peter walked Johnny out of the event, feeling a sense of disappointment that the night was over. As they stood on the sidewalk, Johnny turned to him and said, "Hey, Parker? It's been really great talking to you tonight. I feel like we really connect." Peter's heart skipped a beat as he smiled, feeling a spark of attraction ignite between them. "I know exactly what you mean, Johnny. Maybe we can grab that coffee soon?" Johnny's smile was radiant. "I'd like that." As they parted ways, Peter couldn't shake off the feeling that he was drawn to Johnny in a way he couldn't ignore. The flames of attraction were burning brighter with each passing day, and he wasn't sure if he was ready to fan the flames or try to extinguish them.
