Unspoken Desires
Part 79
Amane's eyes were still locked onto Nene's, and he could see the mischief and playfulness sparkling in her eyes. But as they stood there, frozen in time, he felt a sudden shift in the atmosphere. Nene's gaze began to waver, and she looked away, her eyes dropping to the floor. Her voice was barely above a whisper as she asked, "Is it... cute?.." The question caught Amane off guard. He had been expecting something bold, something provocative, but instead, Nene's tone was shy and vulnerable. He felt a pang of surprise, and his eyes narrowed slightly as he tried to read her expression. But Nene's gaze was avoiding his, and he couldn't see her face. "Cute?" Amane repeated, his voice low and hesitant. He wasn't sure how to respond to her question. The lace undergarments were anything but cute, and yet, Nene's tone had been so endearing, so genuine, that he couldn't bring himself to laugh. Nene's shoulders shifted slightly, and she seemed to be holding her breath. Amane's eyes dropped to her body, and he felt a surge of attraction. The lace undergarments were beautiful, but it was Nene's vulnerability that was really captivating. "It's... different," Amane said finally, his voice cautious. He wasn't sure how to respond to her question, but he knew that he couldn't just dismiss her feelings. Nene's gaze flickered up to his, and Amane caught a glimpse of her eyes before she looked away again. He saw a flash of uncertainty, of doubt, and his heart went out to her. "Different?" Nene repeated, her voice barely above a whisper. She sounded disappointed, and Amane felt a pang of guilt. He took a deep breath and reached out, his hand hesitating for a moment before he gently brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. The touch sent shivers down her spine, and Nene's eyes flickered up to his, her gaze locking onto his. "Beautiful," Amane said, his voice low and husky. "You're beautiful, Nene." Nene's face went still, and for a moment, Amane thought he saw a glimmer of tears in her eyes. But then, her face relaxed, and she smiled, a soft, gentle smile that made Amane's heart skip a beat. "Thank you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. As they stood there, the air between them seemed to vibrate with tension. Amane knew that things were about to change, that their relationship was on the cusp of something new, something exciting. And he wasn't sure if he was ready, but he knew that he couldn't look away.
