Chapter 36: A Royal Conversation

Part 35

As the moon cast its silvery glow over the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach made her way to her bedroom, ready to unwind after a long day. She slipped into her comfortable pajamas, let her hair down, and began to brush the tangles out of her golden locks. As she sat in front of her vanity, her phone suddenly rang, breaking the peaceful silence. She glanced at the screen and her face lit up with a smile as she saw Daisy's name flashing on the display. "Hey, girl!" Peach exclaimed, answering the call. "Hey, Peach! What's up?" Daisy replied, her voice bubbling with excitement. "I was just thinking about you and I had to call." The two princesses chatted like best friends, discussing everything from their favorite fashion trends to their latest adventures. As they talked, Peach couldn't help but think about Luigi and the way he had made her feel today. "So, Daisy, I have to tell you something," Peach said, her voice filled with a mix of excitement and nervousness. "I had the most amazing time with Mario and Luigi today, and I have to confess... I'm really falling for Luigi." Daisy's squeal of delight echoed through the phone, making Peach giggle. "I knew it! I've been suspecting something was going on," Daisy said, her voice filled with amusement. "But I have to ask, what's so special about Luigi?" Peach hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to put her feelings into words. "I don't know, it's just... he's so kind and sweet, and the way he looks at me... it's like he really sees me, you know?" Daisy chuckled. "Oh, girl, I totally get it. And I have to tell you, I know exactly why you're falling for him. It's because of the way he makes you feel, and I'm not just talking about the way he looks at you." Peach's curiosity was piqued. "What do you mean?" Daisy launched into a long, detailed explanation, telling Peach about her own experiences with Luigi and how he had a way of making her feel like she was the only person in the world. Peach listened, entranced, as Daisy described the way Luigi's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled, and the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck. "...and it's not just about the physical stuff, Peach," Daisy said, her voice filled with conviction. "It's about the way he makes you feel inside. He's got this gentle, caring nature that just draws people in. And when he's around, you can't help but feel happy and at ease." Peach's eyes widened as she listened to Daisy's words, feeling like she was seeing Luigi in a whole new light. She realized that she wasn't the only one who had noticed his special qualities, and that Daisy had experienced them firsthand. "Wow, Daisy, you're making me fall for him even more," Peach said, laughing. Daisy giggled. "I'm just telling it like it is, girl. And trust me, I know a thing or two about Luigi's charms." The two princesses continued to chat, sharing stories and laughter as they talked long into the night. As they finally said their goodbyes and hung up, Peach felt grateful for her friend's insight and advice. She couldn't wait to see Luigi again and see where things might go between them.
